Next installment? I'm likely a buyer of some of the items and this is helping to make a more informed decision...😀

Yes, some good similarities despite a new engine from Porsche. The Plenum and intake manifold look identical between the 987.2 and 981.

Great, looking forward to it! If they are done with the "how to" videos, I will definitely be a customer at some point - appreciate the information!

Interesting -- I feel this is one of those little aspects Porsche does better than almost anyone and their current shift ***** are beautiful. The feel, look and most of all -- sizing.

The Raceseng **** is too large and looks unbalanced with the center console IMHO. Does anyone agree?

I can understand Corvette owners wanting to change their shift ***** , but not these wonderful Porsche units.

I do want to give you a big shout out for a GREAT thread and a great DIY video when I need to replace my Porsche shift **** if it shows wear!

Keep up the good work -- I look forward to your videos -- thanks.

Great stuff!! Appreciate how you are doing this and providing real world applicability and objectivity. I'm a prospective customer of the Agency exhaust components and your custom tune so it will be hard to wait a month to see those numbers but I will definitely stay tuned (no pun intended)!

Excellent. With these significant power gains from a tune why would not Porsche have the same tune stock? Nothing is free so what is given up for the upper rev power boost? This looks like a spark advance tune from my very limited experience with engine modifications. Maybe the Cobb stage 1 is counting on a fresh tank of Chevron instead of a local C store fill. I am betting the intake/exhaust mods will really show a difference with the Cobb set at the higher stage levels. Can't wait!!!

Thank you again for this project.

Thanks! We're looking forward to the next round of modifications. Shooting for the plenum and air filters this week and exhaust over this upcoming weekend. So should have videos up soon. We will get some acceleration numbers and sound videos of course but probably a couple weeks out on the dyno.

Thanks, simply any OEM is tuning for performance but increasingly for emissions and fuel efficiency. They also have to maintain warranties and are going to shy a little conservative with their tuning. We think the tuning is going to really shine when we add the hardware. With the ability to move more air in and out, we should be able to optimize timing and A/F ratios to give a solid bump in power.

Here are some pics from under the car. You can see how terribly designed the headers are. They are equal length but appears that Porsche almost purposely handicapped the flow dynamics of the tubing. They are significantly crushed and ovalized.

Continue to enjoy these, can't wait for IPD, Agency Power, stage 2, custom time, and the numbers from the two additional dyno pulls! Was the IPD difficult to install? I'd heard different things about the clamps between the plenum and the "intake runners" and the pieces (brackets, etc.)that came OFF the factory plenum and how they mount to the IPD version. I imagine you would cover things like if it triggered a CEL, etc.? Thank you!

Thanks. We are looking forward to that as well! Had to order some header gaskets that arrive this week, so should have the headers and exhaust on by next weekend.

We'll cover the IPD plenum install process in the next episode. In general, it's not the easiest install. It's not super complicated just a bit of a pain with the limited clearance and awkward ways you have to either squat in the trunk or behind the passenger seat. If you're not a part-time gymnast, you might have a couple body sores the next day! That being said we'll share some insights on how to handle the clamps. After messing with them for a couple hours, we figured out a strategy that worked very well. That's the most important part of the install and we could have saved hours if we would have used 2 people to apply all the pressure needed to get them on. There's also an A/C bracket bolt they include that reduces the height by like 2mm but it makes all the difference in getting the plenum oriented correctly. In short, it will test your patience a little but glad we did it! We should have the next episode up by the middle of next week!
