Yeap, that looks like it. It appears most issues were corrected, no warning lights and has airbags. The front bumper has been repainted, paint looks newer. By collision, maybe it means bumper damage? Body straight is straight, except of course for those side protective moldings---those kill most the looks on any 928

Someone around here must have the original photos showing the front clip damaged.
Repair process described in this thread (which used to contain all the photos): "The car was pulled, chopped, measured, and very carefully assembled to have proper geometry.... " https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ection-gt.html
Hacker - I recall seeing the pictures of it when Mason first owned it - one front left quarter shot in particular showing heavy damage to the front. It's a shame those pictures are no longer there.
In another thread, a longtime Rennlister mentioned it was nice to see "Joe's" car being resurrected following the crash at Watkins Glen.
Also found this on Pelican where Mason was selling it after the resurrection, he also mentions the crash at Watkins Glen and some detail on how it was repaired: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-12-500-a.html
That's impressive. What's the breakdown? How many of each year? What was your favorite?
Wish there were some pics, that GT has lots of upgrades.
Not that impressive, these cars were worth virtually nothing for a long time. It was a cheap hobby, not so today. My favorite 928 was my first, a 1982 "brown" 5-speed, and the interior was shot. I was 16 and it was the best thing ever. As the years passed by me and my brother started flipping them for fun, you start getting numb after a few. 20+ years later, I've gotten so picky that if I just see one little crack on the dash---I don't like the whole car. I call it the "getting older tax", it just needs to be really nice now

I get that. It's hard to go backwards on anything sometimes.
At the latest it's a '91, 5-liter and no GTS flares. I think it's a '91, but that's only based on the radio, Blaupunkt Stuttgart. Could technically be a '90 since it has an airbag pod ('modern' dash light rheostat switch).
The first registration was in '93, so they're calling it a '93, but it had been sitting around a dealership for some time before that.
C16 is the country code for the British market. AFAIK Porsche never made a right-hand drive version of the airbag dash, so they got the 78-89 dashboard too. 105 '91 Automatics in the British market, none of them list the Blaupunkt Stuttgart option, so I'm not sure which car this is. Bummer that the VIN isn't listed, it's gorgeous!
Weissach, why don't you show the current seller this discussion and the other threads on this car and offer him $20k? I'm pretty sure he will take it and run with it. Maybe even at $17-18k. Good luck! Hoi

I sent the seller link to this discussion of his car this morning through eBay messaging. I'll see if he responds............
