How in God's name do you guys create a 17 page thread from this?!!
My 0.02c worth: my Huawei Mate 9 with Spigen case chose the car for me as it fits absolutely perfectly in the cubby under the CD holder unit.
I rejected all manner of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and late model Porsches on my search for the perfect phone slot.
Amazing how 14 years ago Porsche predicted the Huawei/Spigen combo and built the car to fit....
And I'm guessing this may be a hint of how such a simple thread title builds 17 pages! Idiots!

I fabricated a metal angle bracket that slides between CD Drawer and bottom of dash. I then split some vac line and glued it around the part of bracket that slides in to keep it secure. I applied a magnet onto the down leg (as seen on photo) so the back of phone just sticks in place. This bracket easily slides out for CD access.
The charger cable is plugged into a cig adapter that is part of the FM Modulator and Bluetooth (had to add this since I had the Most system) that is behind the cd drawer where I used the phone wiring for my power, see toggle switch and Bluetooth adapter to left of center console mounted to lower side of dash. I can now use my phone for GPS, Pandora and making and receiving calls without handling the phone.

It says 17/17 at the bottom on my phone. But I do the 9 box out to the right also now.
Either way, crazy long thread about where people carry their phones. Lolol

Porsche (KITT style voice) says, "What is a phone and why do you need one when you have me?!"
