If I had the funds, I would buy this one even though I already found my 996 C4. I haven't seen one that seems to be as much of a "perfect used 996" as this one. IMS done, records, low mileage but not too low, a ton of new stuff on it- some of it expensive upgrade items, 3rd radiator, Low temp stat, owned by a PCA member, and less than $20k. Pretty amazing. Have already emailed it out to some friends.

D.

No affiliation btw.

1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4, manual transmission, black and tan. 60k miles. New headlights, aftermarket head unit with bluetooth and navigation, suede instrument panel cover, and aftermarket wheels that were fitted by the dealer before I bought it. Tires are in good shape with plenty of rubber left, and it is running a center radiator and a lower temp thermostat to keep engine temperatures down in the Texas summer. The engine is stock. All maintenance is up to date and it was inspected less than a month ago by German Auto Center, but it will be due for it's next oil change with Porsche approved Mobil 1 5w-50 (I change at 5k or every 6 months) at 62k or in September, whichever comes first. Everything works. The car comes with the owner's manual, maintenance records, and 2 sets of keys.

I purchased the car from Porsche Central Austin about 2 years ago when my wife and I thought it would be just the two of us. I'm thrilled to say we have a baby daughter on the way now, so our priorities have changed a bit. These days, I drive the car about once a week to keep things lubricated, so the car hasn't just been sitting unused. I'm a PCA member, am a big fan of Porsche and these cars, and would like to see it go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have. Feel free to email or text with questions.
That looks like a good one.

C4S for $20,000. Being sold by a Porsche dealer, so we should assume that everything is in good workable condition. Slightly higher miles, but there are often C4S listed for much higher prices so this might interest someone.

Possibly a scam. The link to the website isn't valid, and the car doesn't appear on the dealer's Facebook site inventory.

I've been seeing a TON of 1999 996. Why is everyone selling this particular year? I personally rather have the 996.2

Just answered your own question. Everyone is selling their 996.1 to get a 996.2 of course, that's the only logical answer.

Hard to tell. But with Jake being one of the voices stating that the '99 is the one to have in terms of robustness of the drivetrain, I suspect their values could make an upswing sometime down the road.

What would y'all say about this one???

Seller bought a salvage titled '99 and supposedly put "$30,000" in it and now wants to sell it for only $16,499. Oh, maybe it's the high mileage? hahaha yep, notice it has 1.5 million miles on it.
