Default Is it a Turbo or Turbo S?

Going to look at a Turbo S at the weekend, slightly suspicious of yellow calipers to start, plus it is a listed as a 2005 model and Turbo S came out in 2006. So is there any way to tell the 2 apart....apart from the S badge added after turbo on its behind? Iv'e seen 911s dressed up to look like GT3s.

I believe the S intercoolers are all aluminum, and the non-S have plastic ends.

Look for "Turbo S" on the driver's and passenger door sill and also on the sliding cover for the climate control. On the build sticker under the rear tool/spare cover should describe it as TUB S and 383kw. Also the front rotors should be 380mm in diameter. Also look to see if the CAYENNE TURBO S is centered on the back tailgate. People have been known to just add an S.
There is an E81 option that was available before 2006 that had more power and the larger brakes and intercooler. That would be on the sticker in the back.
Looks nice in the pictures.

Looks like a nice and clean 955. It is well optioned, but you are right to question if it is a real Turbo S. Highly unlikely if it is a 2005, I think.

It is not a Turbo S. Posts #3 and #5 make the case. Also, that Cayenne has tiny, yellow brake calipers. A Turbo S has enormous, red brake calipers.

Regards the yellow calipers,i put that to the chap on the phone and said it was something he ordered from TechArt along with other go faster/smarter goodies. I am bi-turbo curious so will still have a look on sunday as it looks rather nice and in same price range as a meek Turbo. I will look him in the eyes and say: You sure it is a Turbo S?
Are Turbo S headrests embossed? Nothing near me to cast me beady eyes over.

My Turbo S has the embossed headrests but they are part of the smooth leather interior option that was also available on the standard Turbo.

I have the smooth leather option on my '05 sans headrest crests. Not sure when that started.
