^Yep. That's normal. Be careful not to gouge anymore of the sealing surfaces

Had some time this morning so I brought the fuel rails in to clean them and I am glad I did. Look at the flow from the far left nozzle - or more accurately look at the lack of flow!

Cleaned that out and all 8 flow equally now. Parts washers are under rated, grin.

Good morning.

Could someone please confirm that the rubber hose that connects the injector to the fuel rail is supposed to be 50mm long?

Is that a safe number to use or does it need to be custom per car?

Thanks!

Is the replacement inner thermostat seal simply a press on fit?

I can't remember if I was able to press mine in with my hand. If not take a socket of similar diameter with an extension on it and lightly tap it in place. It should not take a lot of force.

My very vague recollection is I just pressed it in with my fingers.

Good morning.

Any tips on removing the rubber boot on the rear shift coupler or better to just cut it and install a new one to save loads of time?

EDIT - it looks like to pull it out of the way you pull it towards the rear of the car.

Thanks!
