Well, to the shock of absolutely no one that knows these cars at all (which is basically everybody here but me) the test shows I'm not getting a pulse on the #1 injector.
Edit - I just tried it again with a jumper on the fuel injection real way to make sure that I don't have a real problem and no change.
Rechecked both of the grounds on the cam cover on the passenger side and while I was there figured it wouldn't hurt to run secondary grounds to both of those. Please forgive the "I just want to make sure to eliminate the grounding issues" that is going to seer your eyes when you look at this.
Still no injector pulse.
I have not cleaned/replaced the engine ground strap yet but I did run a ground from the engine to here, still no pulse.
Check the ICU voltage, 12.06. Battery has 12.54. Not sure if the difference between the two is problematic or not, anyone know?
Replaced the green wire with a new one from 928International, got the distributor and timing back where they were. Fired up based on cold start, but no ignition pulse.
One other point - make sure you have a good hot battery. If there is any question as to your battery status - add a second battery at the jumper post up front. There have been several instances where an owner has been chasing a "No Start" condition only to find out that it was a questionable battery or it's ground straps. If there isn't enough of the +12 volts remaining while the battery is being loaded by the starter - the fuel computer will not wake up.
Found this on Pelican from JK, tried connecting another battery. No pulse.
Wondering if there something simple that I'm missing if it's not the CPS. Could someone check me on the relay jumper for the fuel injection relay please?
I made a three pin jumper, have continuity between all three pens, and when I connected like this I have 12 V everywhere.
Edit - for clarity purposes I have 12v always at pin #3 on the board and I am assuming that is 30 on the relay. pin #4 and 5 I am assuming are pins 87 on the relay.
When I connected like this, so it does not have power from 30 I have less than one volt with ignition on run.
