Just got back to my room from Hofbrauhaus with Dr_Strangelove, EddieLasVegas and Kenqv.
As Rennlist's unofficial grammarian, a**hole, and otherwise all-around pain in the ****, it's my duty to warn you that your sentence, as written, suggests that you, Eddie, and Ken were all back in your room.
Now, given how much flammable liquid you consumed over the course of the weekend, that might be what you meant, in which case I hope to God you had an XBox or two in your room...
But you know what they say about stuff that happens in Vegas...
He got rammed in the pits ^^ When the race was done.
I bumped everyone silly. Myself and Ken were battling it out for a looooooong time, while lapping Dallas and the others.
Ah..now I understand the "Helen Keller" reference more clearly. Although it does sound like he wasn't the only one she smacked into. Bumping is usually ok if not too flagrant.
I can't believe one of you guys didn't "Earnhardt Sr." her out of the track!
She dropped the decapitation blow at the end of the session, so there was no chance to take her out. She hit the cars in front of her hard enough that the one in front got knocked back out on the track and had to lap again.
Either her Dad or the track attendant (or both) ensured that she was sobbing when she left. Which was good - if someone had been standing between two of the parked cars and they were LUCKY, they might only be in casts today.
Either she was too stupid to catch on (after three massive collisions in the same session) or a lousy little crap who just didn't care; either way, I hope they threw her off the track for the rest of the day.
WOWZA! You are right a lot of times workers step between the karts in the pits to kill the engine much less participants jumping out excited from their experience. That could have been bad. Glad someone dealt with her and no-one got hurt.
Huge thanks to Kalashnikov & Rennlist for putting this event together. Had so much fun and met so many quality people that I decided to become a member and stick around. Sorry!
As for the terror in the pits.. Kenqv was hurting some feelings out on the track. I think she saw an opportunity to strike in the pits and maybe over-did it a bit. She had Max Verstappen's racing line, for sure. I think she pulled 3 or 4 defensive moves before shutting the door on me and taking me out on the last lap.
@ My Silver State Crew: DITTO! Enjoyed meeting everyone. Hawk I had a blast ripping through LMRA to Lake Las Vegas with you. Buddha, it was cool meeting you I was sad you didn't go to the park with us. I'm looking forward to our next run! I don't mind helping organize local events so keep me on your mind if you feel like going for a drive. I know Kenqv is up for shenanigans.
To everyone else: RennRun needs to be an annual thing. This little experiment was a great success. If we have double the people next year the "going to jail" joke may not be as funny in 2019.
Finding my car's doppelganger was worth the trip...everything else was icing. Are you running any shims in your wing? If not, and if you ever feel like the rear end gets a little light at higher speeds, the shims drastically increase how much downforce the wing generates. I have the 8-degree shims, but you can also use the 4-degree shims for some of the benefit without changing the rake too drastically...
Of the two, I'm guessing yours is the good one, and mine is the evil one - but if yours really wants to be the evil twin, we can work out some mutually agreeable arrangement.
My tail pipes are smaller than yours. This is merely an observation and in no way indicative of any deep-seated psychological issues on my part. Seriously.
No, actually, I'll admit here in front of everyone, a nice man who crushes people's dreams informed me at the C&C event that my wing is not the real deal. It's also not adjustable. It's bolted into the place where the normal spoiler lifts. I believe yours is one piece?
Anyway... This is like the beginning of a thriller movie where one statement sets in motion a very expensive hunt.
