Left later than I had hoped to. Very long drive in terms of time and extra miles due to hellish traffic along the way and Waze alternative routing. Just now found a coin-op and washed the sled. Cross streets are Nellis and Linda in case anybody else is looking.

Welp, finally hunkered down at a Marriott after a long day enjoying pushing the clutch in as much as the fun pedal. But there were some fun roads on the detours between rollovers, garden variety wrecks and fire. I ended up on a detour via Waze that took me to the 40 east towards Needles. Then exited around Ludlow (I think) and cut through the Mojave Desert to Kelso (?) and then meandered back toward the I-15 the loooong way. And I think one of those roads was Kilbaker, for those with google maps that may be curious.The roads were a little rough, but fun twisties thrown in and so many g-outs that I'm surprised I still have fillings in my teeth. I may gotten carried away a bit, as I lost the driver's side pumpkin along the way. My cab with stock suspension would've been bottoming hard through the g-outs at the velocity that I was going, but the jic Magic coilovers on this car never bottomed once or made me white-knuckle and back out of it. But you felt it in your stomach at the bottom and the car went light at the peaks. Yes, it was fun . Then I eventually made it back to the I-15 for just a few miles before the chokepoint from the fire and experienced what Vitamin-C shared. Stop and go, people pulling over to the shoulder out of fuel, or just using the sparse vegetation as impromptu restrooms. Yeah, not fun. Anyway, here's some sloppy pics. Now I'm sipping a little Jameson's before crashing. More photos to follow tomorrow, but I suspect I'll be arriving at C&C later then most. Wish you all were here!
