+1

Orange tartan on the seats, R diffuser, paint some of the black plastic orange on the exterior, hell maybe some brown leather and voila a 911R+++...

Because the manual 991.2 GT3 and the manual 991R are not RS.

The OP had to have a manual RS.

RS owners only love RS

It's not so much that an RS is an RS, it's more that a GT3 isn't an RS.

I asked the same thing once I heard the 991.2 GT3 was going to be a 4.0L with a 6-spd but when I raised the question, the idea of paying a premium and taking a loss on existing cars changed my perspective. Not to mention the fact that you can't even get on a list anymore, so it made more sense. one of our Clubsport owners tried to get one and couldn't after calling 6 dealerships.

Out with the not so old and in with the new new new...

Previous PDK flywheel next to the new 6-spd 911R clutch (bottom) with the new lightweight single mass 911R flywheel on the motor (top)!

Great project!!! This is fun to watch. One of the coolest things about Porsche is how the different pieces still fit together. This isn't a "make the missing pieces in-house" project, this is a bolt off, bolt on with OEM parts kind of puzzle.

The economies of scale motivation to have common parts among cars is what made me realize we could do what we do with the engine swaps, gearbox swaps, etc. I tell people it's just like Mr. Potato Head, except we are changing his rubber nose and glasses for something a bit more retro!

911R gearbox and clutch are in! Time to bolt it all back together underneath and then go inside to continue the sex change operation. THEN we do the electronics and execute the Super Secret Squirrel mojo!

What's the funny looking 3rd pedal for and what's that odd looking shifter!??

Until this project is completed, the GDP of all Rennlisters everywhere is in the $hitter.

not that you need funds for this project, but I'm pretty sure you can charge $150 for RL'ers to drive it and have this project paid off in about 3 weeks......
