Been driving the car in the warmer weather lately, and noticing that my AC could def use a recharge. Strange thing though is that when the temperature is set to the lowest setting (18) and I raise it 1 "click", I get hot air for a few seconds and then it cools down again. If this normal behavior? Thanks guys!

GBX it's possible that it has something to do with the Recirc Button Setting.
Check if yours is pressed in or not, then do that same Temp **** change and see if you get a different result.

Could be normal, and could indicate a bad mixer servo or two.
When the A/C button is pressed, the latest versions of the Climate Control Unit automatically operate the Resirc flap in order to obtain the desired cabin temp. This operation depends on the ambient and cabin temperature as well as temp **** setting.
On a hot day, the resirc flap is probably open in order to keep the car cool. If you then raise the desired cabin temp, the resirc flap can close, and the fresh air flap will open instead. If the blowers run on higher speeds, they could draw some hot air pass the mixer servo valves in the seconds before the fresh air flap opens enough.
This will especially be the case if a mixer or two is stuck open due to servo failure. (common issue)
I would advise to check the mixer servos for proper operation. Turn temp **** to min and max, and both mixers shall close and open. See my DIY pages for details.
Cheers,

The two first pics is from a 964.
I often don't bother to open up the carpet walls in the foot wells, I just listen for the servo humming.
