This looks real nice. 37K miles. Original paint and radio and says the original wheels are available. No price given which is annoying though. Also may be an 86.5 which would make it even nicer.
Sorry, I haven't checked on it for a bit, and it used to be at 18.9k when it first went up. Looks like front bumper has chipped paint and quite a few nicks on the door guard trim. Still looks clean, minus cheesy after market door speakers.
Bad CL photos but someone out west should jump on this, what looks to be a fairly clean one-owner '79 at $3900 (with original radio by the looks of it) https://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/6125219915.html
I just found this on CL was about to post. Good buy. 15" phone dial wheels and one owner. Someone may like it.

No mention of maintenance records, which will be the key to whether or not this will be a good buy. It's been for sale for quite a while. I think the issue is it's at a dealer, lack of records, and is higher mileage compared to many on the market.
$6,500 firm. Guards Red, black leather, automatic. Turbo Twist wheels, recent Sumitomos all the way around. No rub strip car. No LSD, sunroof, stepped up fan. #2037 of 2219 for 1985 US market. I will attempt to get pictures up, but for now it is listed on Hemmings for $7,500 with pictures.
Owned since September 2015, bought with 173,000 miles, now has 178,000 miles. I just joined RL after lurking for the past year plus and am extremely impressed by the knowledge on this board.
I bought the car from a former Porsche tech (he bought it 5/26/2011) and he and his son performed the following work: new steering rack; distributor caps, rotors & spark plugs; rebuilt front calipers, new rotors & pads; new windshield; new front valance; new switches for windows & sunroof; new battery; complete fluid change, new fuel & air filter, replaced upper and lower ball joints; replaced some bushings in front end; hood and front fenders have been repainted.
I had Blair Talbot from Dover, NH go over the car and he gave it his basic approval. Once running he told me to shake it out, which I have done by putting almost 5,000 miles on in the past 18 mos. I've driven the car weekly, changed the oil about 1,700 miles ago (Valvoline VR1) and had an alignment done. The car has not failed me since I bought it. Starts, runs and drives well.
It needs: passenger window switch, has no AC, could use shocks. Rear leather interior panels are pulled up, however the rest of the interior is decent (small wear on driver's side bolster). Purportedly the thrust bearing issue was checked under previous ownership and was OK, I have not checked it under my ownership. I'm sure it has other needs.
Selling because I am purchasing an 86.5 that as it turns out has lived for 10 years about a 1/2 mile from my house. I was driving to the car wash about a month ago and he saw me pull out of my street, followed me to the car wash and asked if I wanted to buy another one. 86.5, Guards Red, black leather, 88,000 miles, completely original, w/compressor for spare, manual, etc. Its been sitting for the past year, garaged and I told him to send it to Talbot, get it squared away and sell it on Craigslist or Rennlist for $10,000 or so. He stated my wife and I want it out. I told him I was not interested, he then offered the car for $4,500, we agreed at $4,000. So my '85 must go!
Sorry for the long post but I've got an 86.5 to pay for!
This is my car, keeping with the trend of Arizona cars. I know this car inside and out. It's not a need to sell, but I am putting it out there. Have tons of records.

Nice car! No sunroof, no rubstrip 5 speed. I think you may be underpriced...Good luck with the sale!

Thanks! That is part of the reason I bought it, and I love the car. It's great blasting through the desert.
I might be a little low, but the market is all over the place down here, and I haven't gotten too many hits on it yet. We will see, not breaking my heart if it sticks around a little longer!
Tamaren - Think I saw you and the car last Saturday on Southern near the Mesa Community college athletic stadium. The body colored spoiler caught my eye! Nice looking car! Just about caused a wreck rubbernecking to get a better view as I drove the opposite direction. GLWS!

Thank you! I was probably down there, I live off Southern and Rural in Tempe. It defiantly is a little red for it's own good! I posted in the AZ 928 post on here, see if there was any interest in another meet sometime. Would love to see some other 928's!

Spoke with the owner when I was at my daughter's graduation at ASU. The car is located about 20 minute drive from central Scottsdale. The seller is selling for a family and doesnt really know anything about 928s. He did seem willing to disclose on the phone and told me it had 160k miles, cracked front seats, reverse takes a while to engage. I opted not to look at the car ... originally hoped to do a drive home with my son or daughter.
