Wow, this forum is fun. There was no sarcasm and this was meant to be a serious post. So as stated before, I am from the 911 realm. So in the 911 realm there are 3 forums. 996, 997, and 991. And before you start the hate mail I know these are generalizations and not accurate to every one but here goes
991 owners - douchebags who paid a lot for their cars and think their **** don't stink and expect everyone to be amazed at their car. Their big topic of discussion: what mods can I pay other people to do to my car
997 owners - the cool group who mix up DIY and indy service and dealer service to take care of cars that they are excited to own (and possibly slightly jealous they don't have a 991)
996 owners - and I have used this term before - slightly unhinged people who try to either A - fix their cars with duct tape and a hammer or B - send it to Flat 6 Engineering for a complete rebuild. And they really don't care what anyone thinks.
Remember - this is just a gross generalization (and yes 997 ownership is the sweet spot - this is not my opinion - it is a fact)
So the forums stay separate and no problems arise
Here you have guys with new $100K plus cars mixing it up with guys who got here because they want the best car they can get for $10K. It does make it interesting.

Awesome post. Good humor and probably very true. It is just the way it is with some.
I will say, PoP had done the first 2 oil changes on my 2016 as they had stamped my "book". The oil drain now leaks and I've had to resort to an EcoPlug to stop the leak from them overtightening the drain-bolt.
The same thing had happened with one of the first three dealerships that had changed the oil on the 2012 Touareg TDI I will be selling back to VW, one of them overtightened the plug and it leaks/leaked. I swear.
Like I said, when my wife brings her $112k pig in for a simple service we both expect exceptional attention to detail and nothing less. This isn't a $15k Hyundai in a Hyundai dealership.
The SA doesn't read the tech's vehicle history report before releasing it to my wife with a major in accuracy in it. I question it and they are pissed because I did.
My previous exerpance with them was 3 months ago when my wife had them install a new tire after she ran a nail over. Her Pig had 1k miles on it. She specifically asked the old adhesive be cleaned off the rim before it's remounted. They didn't do it. When I asked why the had a million excuses before admitting the overlooked it.
Both my Porsche's were purchased new a year ago and we enjoy them.
I'll try Ray Catena next AND See If They APPRECIATE MY bussiness.
this post says everything about u i need to know. u are way to serious and u are a snob, anytime someone throws prices around you pretty much know what type of person you are dealing with. i doubt they will miss you and your personality, i know i wouldn't.
Sounds like the OP is leaving lots of detail out of this story. I find it impossible to believe that this went from:

And turning into the OP having an email exchange about it with the GM and the SA telling the GM that he never wants to work with the OP again.
Nothing here about them actually charging his wife for services she didn't need or even telling her she needed extra services. It was a couple of clerical errors. BFD.

Personally I find it hilarious (though I think the 997 twits are a bunch of naval gazers that get a bit too worked up over the shape of headlights...).
A vehicle service inspection report was included with the invoice. It stated immediate attention required for trans, diff, trans case.
I questioned the dealer about it and their response was it was a mistake. The Tech checkex the wrong box. The SA is supposed to check everything before delivering to customer but missed it.
Needless to say I'm done with Porsche of Princeton. I will pursue this with Porsche NA.
Good luck with that, let us know how it goes. Maybe they'll throw some floor mats at you to shut your mouth? Or maybe a complimentary detail. Your future is bright!

Man, I love it when people think they are royalty because they paid more for a car than some other guy paid for his new car. It's fine to terrorize the service staff, go ahead, but needing to impugn people who deign to buy Korean cars smacks of vinegar and water, with a hint of spring fresh (ideal for those not-so-clean moments after the gym or before intimate encounters...).
For the record: a major inaccuracy is when your surgeon writes "THIS ONE" on the wrong leg and realizes it about five minutes too late.
Checking the wrong box on a billion-point checklist form is a careless mistake. Regardless of how much you paid for your car, and the extent to which your flatus is odorless, you can't make those poor human beings who actually have to interact with you any less flawed. Bummer. Maybe a few decades of eugenics would help, but for now, man, you just have to suffer being served by the unwashed, ignorant masses. I think the kitten "hang in there" meme would be ideal here.
On the plus side, the older-and-mellower me enjoys a great deal of inappropriate pleasure when I see someone 100% apoplectic over something so trivial.

This thread is becoming quite a threat! Many interesting socio economic and cultural interactions. Some real sound observations. Poster dgjks6 is funny, and I had not heard the 911 hairdresser car comment for a while.
With service issues like these I apply the 10-10-10 rule: If I react, how will I feel / care about it in 10 minutes, how do I feel in 10 days and then in 10 years.
Our household owns 3 Porsches, yet I don't feel entitled but appreciative of my fortune through hard work and commitment. I live right in between 3 Porsche dealerships in south FL: Porsche of west broward, Champion and Bramann. We have dealt with all 3. We buy our cars wherever the best deal is. We rotate the service between the 3, no rhyme or reason to this. Back to the OP: I tried to put myself in the OP's shoes, I can't figure out how one gets so bend out of shape. Talk it over, meet the service guys for a coffee, every time we get a car serviced we bring 'something' to the service agent, works great, every next they remember and stuff gets done for free, they are happy, we are happy. Everybody makes mistakes, it matters more how one deals with it, and how the other party deals with it. Step back. Life is short. In 10 years you will laugh about it, and it won't matter.
