After seeing GBM in person, I changed my mind. Its a nice color but I don't think it fits the spirit of GT3 (maybe on a classic car or on something like a Targa it would suit better). Have for now settled on GT Silver keeping the standard wheel color.

 

You can see the matte black lower mirror here which comes standard.

 

$50 worth of winglets produced by a Rennlister solved it for me in my Carrera.

 

I like the matte black lower mirror. It matches the front/rear lips, wing tips and rear lid air ducts.

 

Agreed. While I don't particularly like the matte black on the mirrors in isolation, at least the finished and texture of all the other bits go together.

Then you might want to also add the gloss door handles to match the lower mirror section.

 

^Heck no - I think that is a stupid mod- I want to hide the handles not flaunt them. The reason for going gloss is to keep consistent with the gloss on the CF rather than break it up

Jimmy, I think the window trim is matte black. The gloss may look out of place so close to the window trim.

 

^^ I'd leave the base mirrors black matte. Matches the rest of the black trim around the car and will make the gloss carbon mirrors pop more. There is no other gloss black anywhere. My take on it.

 

I like the CF side mirrors but don't want black on lower section, can we order it painted?

 

^^ Good question. Not 100% sure? Maybe an Exclusive CXX option? Haven't received any definite answers.

By the way, a HOTT configuration. My taste exactly. GT Silver, PCCB, Black LED's =
