Just joined the club. Wow is it lightweight and SMALL.

Made a simple metal bracket that ties into the current battery holder tie down bolt. All cables remain stock, so I can put a big boy back in there if this doesn't workout.

The current terminal posts are too short and a bit narrow, so I'm going to add some terminal shims to get better contact.
Starts maybe a half second slower than before.

A new test begins. Cold temps coming...

These terminal posts worked great for me (No affiliation). I like your custom bracket! I may have to copy that

Odessey 680 for me
Used one for years without any problems
Li is appealing but cost and potential charging issues have stopped me changing from something that works without any problems

Go for the Earthx ETX24C. Has internal battery management which is HUGE. I just picked one up over thanksgiving. Does three cold starts back to back with no issues. Weighs 2.9lb and has worked flawlessly down to 40f

If you have questions, can PM me.

Absolutely Love the weight savings on offer here, but have to ask, how does it affect the handling of the car?

Had to go for it. $200, and 30 lbs less. (Weighed battery this weekend).

I come from the cycling world, not a weight weinie, but I don't keep anything extra in the car...

Yes the weight savings is in the nose, but the car was recently corner balanced, so it's pretty dialed in for North Carolina back roads.
