Some potential: 1981 with comp seats. I am betting 3500 would take this and it seems like it may have some promise.

Default 78 Green in QC

Obviously not original paint as you can see the beading is painted. I have emailed twice and no response.

Default This one looks just right

Just wow. Seems like a great price for a beautiful car. Would like to get a closer/zoomed in look, but man, on the surface that seems like a sweet driver at a really fair price. Could be a steal.

The owner also apparently doesn't know much about his car's construction either with his inclusion of the line
"Since the body is a combination of aluminum and fiber glass there is ABSOLUTELY NO RUST!!"

Here is a local 1986 928S.
I took a look at it and it is all original complete with good but neglected paint, worn seat leather, dash cracks, and cracked paint on the front bumper from a prior impact.
Mechanically good with just a few needs, no dings whatsoever.
Very honest tired/dirty looking car, but would clean up well.
Price is too high though IMO.

1979 Petrol Blue Metallic (I think) auto. Found this one on Offer Up and contacted the seller who sent me some additional pictures I'll post below. I'm not intereted but thought someone may be. It's a project, but that color is one of the best IMO.

https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/1...79-928-porsche

Here is some background the seller gave me on the car.

"I've had the car for 2 year's, the car was in storage for a number of years with the last owner , then trailered to Washington and kept under a tarp. I found it, bought it ,got a clean title, put it in my garage and went to work on it. Only thing I found wrong with it was water in the fuel. I removed the tank, cleaned it, and inspected the rest of the fuel system. The system is dry and clean, the water stayed in the tank, both fuel pumps are shot, fuel filter shot, tank sending unit shot ,tank is plastic and ok. Looks like it could use a tune up, timing belts look good, have the covers off to see. Tires cracked from sitting, but no abuse on the car, don't think any kids got to it. Low miles, normal wear, car color is a teal like blue metallic j2 paint code."

Please somebody jump on this, because I am aching to do the same, and I already have a '79 petrol blue auto. Very nicely preserved original interior.
