Pics here.....

First day out with me in Annapolis after backroad fun and shakedown cruise.

Pretty good CarMax 911 C4S in Balsalt Black with tan interior. Sport 19 inch wheels....with Hancock tires....not all that great tires but I'll learn them.

Beautiful. Was shopping carmax but they wouldn't let me do a ppi or provide a dme. Not being local I skipped on it. But I hear the warranty is good, $50 to take it to your dealer if I recall.

You get five days to rescind the sale if you are not happy. I'm not going to bother doing a PPI and DME. It runs great, no funny noises and leaks or drips. Exhaust is good too, no excessive soot or dirt on the tips.

A little over a year ago Porsche dealership was saying CarMax would not pay their rates, luckily i didn't need to get work done. Not sure if the dealer ironed it out or not with CarMax, this was in Austin. When I bought the warranty they said I could take it to the dealer with no problems.

Well contract says service at Porsche dealership, Guess I will find out at some point. They have to fix the cup holder cover and add new rear stoneguard so that will be done at the dealer.

Bought 996 from carmax a couple years ago, with maxcare. Took to carmax to have my tension wires on cab repaired. They delivered to dealer to have repaired and had it back in couple days. Paid deductible only.

Sure you don't want to do the PPI for peace of mind??

No only thing a PPI would give me is the DME. This car was driven by a woman named Brandy in Florida so I doubt it was driven hard.

Gone through two tanks of gas and lots of backroads fun with no problems. Except a county cop that tailed me for 15 miles for no real reason on one of them. But since he was occupied with me I hope that other drivers and cyclists were having a good time.

One of the good things about maxcare... take it to carmax and let them take it to dealer......

I bought my 997.1 C2S from CarMax in Potomac Mills, VA about 2 months ago. Within the 30-day warranty period, I got the PPI and handed them the report to fix everything. They gave me an oil change, 2 new front tires (MPSPS2), new OEM battery, and all new OEM rotors & pads. I've had a pretty good experience with CarMax. I opted out of the MaxCare warranty because the PPI was clean. They wanted $3479 for 100k warranty (the car has 53k) with $500 deductible. $300 deductible bumped it to $3899.
