So I bought the Carmax 911 4S
#31
My brake pads look to be new and the battery was changed too. It has 29k miles so the rotors are barely worn. Tires are new too. The serpentine belt was done in 2013 along with spark plugs and water pump at the 4 year major service. It was one owner leased so it was kept on schedule for things like that. The Ventus tires are a bit squirmy but grip well.

Congratulations!
That's a gorgeous car, nice find at CarMax. Since you have to buy floor mats anyway, can I suggest Cocomats? I got factory floor mats with my 997.2 but the sea of sand beige was annoying so I got some bicolored mats from Cocomat to break up the monotony -- plus they are MUCH more durable than the factory mats. For your color scheme, I'd recommend either the black/natural
or black/taupe
Either way, they'll add some real flare to the interior.

That is a nice car. I saw someone earlier in the thread ask about the warranty. Carmax uses C.N.A. who is great to work with from previous experience. My local Porsche dealer affirmed that they are easy to work with and pay out typically without much fuss. I had a C.N.A warranty on my last Boxster S. They replaced the water pump, no questions asked (i did pay for fluids but it was a nominal charge.). When i was selling the car a PPI revealed an RMS leak which they fixed as well no questions asked.
I would assume Carmax uses CNA across the U.S. but i can't be sure. i know here in NC, they use CNA.
The warranty was one of the deciding factors in going with Carmax. I look at a number of dears. They all offered a range of only 24-36 months for $4-5K on average. With Carmax i got coverage up to 75k ($150 deductible) and a full 60 months of coverage. All for $2700 in a refundable and pro-rated contract.
Enjoy your new car. Take Care

Hi
Ive put over 1k miles on it and it's running great. No issues so far so it's not needed anything for warrenty claim. They paid for my manuals and new cup holder and stone guard. It's a great car. That being said I made sure to look at the brake pads and rotors and used a flashlight and mirror to look at the RMS. Plus I really crawled around the car looking for drips of fluid and inspected the hoses. I did not get a DME.

CarMax makes money by selling cars at volume, most P dealers and high end Indy places make money by low volume...but high prices. The same car I got for 50K at Carmax in Md would have been 60K at the local dealers.
