Could this be the 991.2 GT3?

Im a one Porsche guy now. Unless you count the Porsche FS bike in the background. Alot of the other stuff in the unit is Porsche related. We are travelling light these days - this is pretty much all we own other than a house on The Rock (New Hebrides = Vanuatu). Id actually like to whittle it down a bit further. Sell the house, and some Porsche paraphernalia, rent and spend more time travelling...but unfortunately will probably have to find a job soon before the money is all gone!
I will start a thread soon called "Help find Macca a Job!".
Here is a few extra pictures to break up the nonsense about the 991.2 GT3 being launched in two weeks time in Paris. Oh I mean the GTS LOL!

Damn it. I heard it might be the Furhmann 4 cam engine in there but some say the twin cam. I also heard it might be LA or Tokyo. This guy Max Hoffmann on another thread reckons he has the inside skinny on that car and he will be buying them all!

So, all joking aside... should we assume
Paris GTS
Geneva GT3
?????? GT2 (RS?)
How much room does the GTS have to grow powewise (just by turning up the boost) before even a 4.0 GT3 gets out-gunned?
Will there be a big speech by AP where he tells us the new paradigm which is "power doesn't matter, objective measures don't matter... we build our GT cars to "feel" fast." ???

It is funny what you say but it's rapidly becoming the truth. I am friends with a young Porsche race driver. Same intake as Brendan Hartley and Earl Bamber - the young kiwi drivers. Week before last I visit him for a chat as always. He tells me he ran new C2S for Porsche customers at factory "roadshow" last month. He drives on the race track he knows well.
He loves 991 GT3 and is quick in this car at the roadshow - almost as fast as Bamber. But he says to me "Macca that C2S it's in street tyres and not far away from GT3!!". He is very impressed. Vmax on the back straight maybe only 3-4 Kmph less. This car it has the RWS and all the options. He said it has more torque than GT3 (369lbft) and it can pull out of the corners. On Comp R he says it could be almost as fast as current GT3!
If the GTS has more torque and bhp than C2S and you out on Trofeo R with a nice header and DSC module you could be as fast as 4.0 GT3 maybe, particularly if GTS is PDK.
FastLane turbo was at Porsche Masters weekend. A few days ago. There he drive new C2S and he write a small review in 991 board. He is very very impressed. He arrived in his 991 TTS and he has 991 GT3 almost 3 years and 40 years track experience including racing. He said it's like the car has a magic formulae not obvious from the spec. Not as fast as TTS but it feels nimble and good value too.
If the GTS has sport chassis and RWS and you have 460 bhp and 390 lbft it will make GT car redundant. I don't think they will allow it this way...but the aftermarket tuners can do so.
The future is changing. The purist won't like it but if you want a fast and light 911 then the turbo will make this possible...

Totally agree.
Some months ago I wrote in one of the threads on this forum about my experience with the new 991.2 C2S at Leipzig. I was there for the Performance course in my GT3 surrounded by new 991.2 C2S. Out of the slow corners, there is no contest. The C2S puts 5-6 car lengths on the GT3 and it then takes a couple of higher speed corners for the GT3 to claw it back. Around a whole lap, there is no doubt that the GT3 is quicker but even the instructors said that if the 991.2 C2S was on Cup tyres, then it would be line ball with the GT3.
So the GTS promises to be a real weapon and it's one of the reasons the 991.2 GT3 adopts the 4.0 engine and 495hp. And it's one of the reasons I have a deposit down for a 991.2 GT3 and a 991.2 GTS....I want the best of both worlds.
