It's been listed for a while. I think the SC and mods actually hurt this car. 78, 79 buyers want originality over all else or at least that's my read of the market.
Walked passed that 928 in that car lot again (Frank Corrente Cadillac Corner). Spoke to the owner about it. Looks complete and I’m interested but in my opinion, $6500 is overpriced by several orders of magnitude. It has a landline installed though.
Looks great at that price point. IIRC Glen lives in the Allentown area and presume would have a look if someone here's interested. A little more HP in a 79 US (anemic) 928 wouldn't hurt. Not like it's a low VIN #.02 T

I have had contact with the seller. Still just talking. The NC car sold before I could do my due diligence. I just need to move a little faster. Over time there is a car on every corner. After 10 of them the nostalgia of one 928 over another kind of fades. (Except yours of course) 😁

This Porsche 928 with a V8 4.4 liter engine was first delivered in Austria in 1978 and is in excellent running condition. Three years ago the consignor bought the car as a collectible and used it from time to time only. It is black both inside as well as on the outside. The interior is not in perfect condition, the rear seats are defective. Owed to the longer downtime in a garage, some repair works may be necessary. The car drives well and is also easy to steer. Revision of the brake system is recommended. Austrian type certificate (duplicate) and manual from a model of the same type are provided.
In running condition: In worn condition. In limited running condition. Immediate works necessary in order to obtain certificate in accordance with § 29 StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Slight to medium perforation corrosion. Individual components likely to be complete, however, not necessarily without damages

Time for somebody else to take control of this car and bring it to the next level.
Its an 84 Euro 5 speed. Has 86.5 front suspension and transmission, Bilsteins. Porkensioner. Silicon pan gasket and Volvo mounts. This car really scoots along. Quite fun to drive.
It needs a series of relatively light mechanical repairs (example: gas tank -- good one included), plus a whole lot of cosmetics. Full disclosure / open-honest.
$4800 firm. I've got several automatic cars that we drive leisurely as daily drivers in the summer. This one would be appreciated more by 928 enthusiast at another stage of engagement.
Original custom Mercedes grey paint. Looks like left rear was lightly tagged, probably 10 or more years ago and that panel was repainted and fading. Looks like a minor dent, not a big repair.
The wheels are mismatched with one non-chromed.
I put them on last week to see if they felt good. They are straight. Free with the car.
Car will be sold on a set of flat dish S4 style wheels with fair Bridgestone all season tires (what I normally use on this car).
If interested, PM me and we can exchange phone numbers to discuss.
Preference to relatively local sale. Yes, it could be driven home anywhere. Not interested in trading for anything.
Again, full disclosure. Not perfect. Plenty of project work on this one. Accelerates like a rocket.

Oh my goodness. Why can't this be up for sale 3 weeks ago, before I bought the '79? Love it. Repaint and interior reupholstery and it would be perfect.
