It's only about 50 feet from the Beer Tent in the center of the Green.

Blue is proposed area for the 928s.

EDIT: Wow...that's a big picture! (sent by the town councilman in charge of Oktoberfest). The pavilion near the beer tent will have music and other performances, and based on the past, there will be lots of people wearing lederhosen and live bands playing the appropriate Polka, Folk, and Schlager music (that last one must go especially well with a bavarian lager).

The town has been going through a major revitalization of the downtown area. There's been a lot of new development and the creation of a Town Green (kind of like a miniature DC Mall...bordered by streets and sidewalks. It's not far from the bank we were jammed into a few years ago. I live in a nearby small town and pass through Lovettsville several times a year....and then one day everything seemed different, and most confusion due to the roads being rearranged to improve traffic flow.

Doesn't look like the kind of community that would roll with camping tents....

Here's a suggestion for another side excursion:

If not, there is a Hampton Inn just across the parking lot.

Registered and making the trip from Florida. Pretty darn excited as the 800 miles each way will be the longest I've done in the Shark in one go

Found a good sized puddle of ATF under my car today. I may be in my 944.

Again...

Started playing with the Fun Run route today.

*9/11/16 Map of tentative route removed due to revisions that will result in a shorter route and earlier arrival at Oktoberfest*

Jon,

This looks like a great route! I'm definitely looking forward to it. It was fun to drive by Mt. Weather a couple of years ago. I had no idea the installation was there (and I've lived here in the DC area since 1987), and it was interesting to look it up afterward and learn about its purpose.

Just registered, looking forward to catching up with all this year.

I'll be down Thursday evening with the rest of the " Thursday " crew!
