I think you have successfully demonstrated this. You didn't like it when people brought up possible issues with your car in a thread where we bring up possible issues with cars. You have since lashed out, insulted people, and even questioned the integrity of the 996 worlds greatest advocate.

You weren't invited to this conversation, but it was an opportunity for you to get constructive criticism on how your ad could be interpreted and then adjust accordingly if you so choose. Instead you chose to take everything personally and throw a temper tantrum for all to see. I don't think continuing to insult everyone and this forum as whole is going to make you feel any better but you are welcome to keep trying.

Mr. Aero, you still won't stop will you? Your attempt to harass your sorry car on some fool is typical and why people are forced to have PPI done on their Porsches. Regarding the whole seat issue, who really cares? I have the Sport Seats option on my 996 and it says P77. But obviously, the option codes are different on the MkI, but mine is a '03. Regardless, I've looked at hundreds of 996s before I purchased mine and the one thing I noticed was the painted back seats usually matched the console. It was also clear that I based my comment on the hood option sticker. (which is a bad photo btw... you should do better than that) You could NOT see the XSA code clearly or I would have seen it in the option book. Have you ever looked at the option book for the Mk1 and Mk2? I have one and the codes are not always clearly defined. Even the Porsche reps struggle to give a knowledge response on the first phone call. But here's the reality, we're now in the world of CarFax and GOOGLE, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the good, bad, and ugly on a car. But when a person over embellishes any used car and acts like "I'm sad to have to sell it" or "It's the nicest Porsche in the state of Iowa", then I have to wonder what the hell is this guy smokin' and why he tryin' to blow his smoke up my ***. Plain and simple, you have a wrecked car that has been repaired and looks to be in fair condition, but definitely NOT the nicest Porsche in the whole state of Iowa. Really? hahahah... that's laughable man. Can you really hear yourself? If not, you need to record your voice stating everything you've posted on this thread. Ok... enough. I'm going to lunch!

Question: Should someone actually endeavor to replicate this car for something less than $30K, is it necessary to crush the right rear quarter, or can that part of the replication process be skipped?

I'm guilty of not going back to read the original ad. I just saw some pics originally on my mobile and didn't really bother to try to interpret the sticker which was half faded. If the repair was done correctly, it's a nice car and would be of good value to someone looking for an aero at 15k. Once again, GLWS.

I wouldn't get too caught up on the forums. These kinds of things always happen. It's always predictable every single time.

Thanks for the kind words. I have seen this happen DOZENS of times on this sub-forum and when it happened to my car I thought it was FINALLY time a person stood up for themselves and all the others who had their cars LIBELED on this sub-forum unjustly and unfairly.

Personally I usually stay on the 968 and Cayenne forums for this specific reason, but I had an idea my car would show up on this thread since it is "unique" so I was watching it.

You have to have a thick skin around here. Some good alternative's albeit with less traffic but also less static is Pelican, Renn-Tech, 6speedonline in case you didin't know.

You may want to advertise your car there as well and include all the pertinent info. With summer here, I'm pretty confident you can sell this car around the mid teens.

Not only have you alienated this forum, you have done the exact opposite of what your initial blubbering was meant to "counter". Your car (or more specifically you) has been trashed in the eyes of any potential buyer that happens across this mess you started. No one in their right mind would want to willingly give you money to you after your displays here.

My horrible reputation is worldwide. There are some parts of the internet where they won't even say my name - I'm just "the forum guy whose name must remain unspoken."

Incidentally, I was the guy who took a break from being "horrible" to point out that a no-records car isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I also pointed out that an all-original engine is sometimes better than an engine that has been modified, since you may never know the real reasons behind the work that was done.

The one -and only - bone I had to pick with you was your suggestion that RL members are misinformed in the same post where you incorrectly described one of the symptoms of a failing AOS. I get that you're worked up about some of the stuff that was said about your car - but how does that justify talking sh*t about the entire forum? You can say what you like about me, but your claim that RL members are uninformed is ridiculous. Some might say libelous, but that seems like a stretch to me...
