I think that good liquor can be pocket warm and it is still good.
Some stuff need to be ice cold...
I have never tried Eifelgeist... Maybe I can source a bottle and invite you guys to my patio before dinner?

Yesterday was just perfect weather, clear blue skies and warm sunshine. I went off to do a few laps yesterday evening before dinner. I noticed another white GT4 and thought 'maybe he might be good to run with', but I didn't bother to get out of my car to chat him up. I just drove on down to the barrier and it was then that I noticed he was just a couple of cars behind me. I wondered if he was trying to do the same. I needed to turn on my GoPro, so I put on my flashers and pulled off to the side prior to setting off. I hoped he might tuck in behind me, but he took off. Oh well, I thought. As I approached Schwalbenschwanz I saw the car again and knew I was a little quicker (or had better luck in traffic).
I did a couple of laps, the first being reasonably quick, but the second had a few yellows and some major boneheads out for sightseeing (off line, not checking their mirrors, going super slow, not signaling, etc.). I wanted to shower before dinner, so I figured that I'd done enough. As I'm creeping around the car park, a guy comes over and sticks his head in the window, quickly introduces himself, says he recognized me from Rennlist, and asks me if I will go again. He's the white GT4! I say sure, and we head out. I again pull off to the side, and tried to motion him by so that he can lead. Instead he rolls down his window and asks me to lead, as the prior lap he'd done was only his first ever lap on the 'Ring! I was just stunned! Anyway, I had a very messy lap, traffic was again bad and we weren't able to stay together due to traffic.
We found spots together in the car park and talked for a bit. I am so disappointed that neither of us had the presence of mind to take a picture of the two Americans, both with white GT4s, his Zoll plate from Leipzig and mine from Stuttgart.
I was very nice meeting you trebien! You drive that car like a seasoned pro!

Lars, thanks for leading... not having ever visited the ring I definitely needed a "rabbit" to follow... it'll test your nerves when every corner you crest at 100 might follow with either tons of straight OR a sharp bend. I probably should have watched more Youtube laps...
Considering it was a tourist day, my goal was to break 9:00, and not break myself or the car. Mission accomplished... I ran an 8:23 on my 4th lap and called it a successful day. The top of my shifter popped off halfway through the lap, but my brain was screaming "just drive!"
And the bad news for TrakCar and Lars... connecting flights were scarce for my next leg, so you're stuck with me another day.

Staying in the Lindner hotel now. Kilometers better than the Dorint hotel. And at the Lindner, the WiFi actually works, so that's a huge plus.
Been twice now to Pistenklaus. Made the mistake of ordering the steak on a stone the second time. I couldn't help but notice that none of my dinner party did the same. They were the savy veterans.
Last night we dined at the Italian restaurant '29' in Adenau. It was wonderful. They just opened a few months ago and the complete renovation they did was worth it. And the owner is from the region of Brindisi. We left with 3 bottles of wine from that region.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I discovered that the track day organizer is hosting at both Spa and the 'Ring. I was able to swap my Spa day for here. I hope I get to drive the Dottinger Hohe at wide open throttle!

Wide open fullt lit gaspedal up döttinghöe is no drama in lowpower GT4. Lefthander under bridge is very much a bend in 300kmh, hence scary, bend.
In gt4 its not that big speed, hence raduis of bend under bridge is slightly bendt, not scary. Vmax 265 gps speed kmh is all it can do hitting tiergarten dip after bridge.
