That is the "cap".

The cover is the squarish boxy thing that keeps crap off of the 14pin.

Call Roger.

I made the exact same mistake. I knew I needed something, and when I called Roger the first time for an order, he asked something like "Do you need the cap? Or the cover?" Uhhhh...

He tried to describe it, but I was clueless (more so than lately, anyway). I mentioned that I had a pic of the engine in my intro thread, so he found it and took a look.

And sent me both the cap & cover.

Made one out of a coffee container, spent about seventy hours cutting, bending, gluing, painting, recutting, rebending, , regluing, repainting, re-recutting, re-rebending, re-regluing, re-repainting, etc, etc.

You could do the same...or you can read my PM...and that would save you time.

On my first car I thought the cover and cap were missing and ordered both. When I went to install the cap I found the old one hanging down and hidden. So now I have a spare.

The thin plastic covers tend to warp, even when new. A stronger alternative would sell like 'hot cakes'

I still have some hand finish work to do to these forms and one little piece of masonite to glue to them where the mounting hole will be drilled. Then I have some red delrin bar stock to make the caps from, and I am having my son draw up for me my design of the cap lanyard to hold the cap to the brace underneath that I can have waterjet cut out of some suitable material.

Mrmerlin: Yep, had to have the jump post cap. I had to reterminate an added wire before the cap would thread on properly.
I am working on the cover. Resolution in process.
