Welcome, Lambright's 3rd 928s 1985 White on Brown
Well. I was looking for a parts car and ran across this in Oregon. The seller Zakk was super patient with me over the month it took me to buy this box truck a 16' ford diesel. I build a ramp to winch the car into it. You won't believe your eyes.
I put almost no effort into making a good video so it is what it is.
First video of truck coming out of truck.
Video of adventure.
My running lights were not working so I had to make 'make shift ones'. California coast a few days ago, so pretty here.
This car is a repaint brown over white. The horror!
Was running but kept dying. Seller spent 9K on it over a few year period of time. He probably fixed a bunch of stuff for me.
I bet its the flywheel reference sensor, I suggested it to him and he never heard of it. Seller Zakk nice young man, bought another 928 and made a race car. His family has 200 acres and he built a race track. And is zipping around on a dirt track in his newer 928. Lets pray he doesn't kill himself.
My goal is to get this running and maybe put it back to original white. I'm itching to paint a car. I have been looking to rent a paint booth. She's no virgin, more like getting married to a brothel bride. Kinks worked out, probably some bugs.
THanks for all the comments, I know my style is unconventional. Amelia Earhart said the best way to do it, is to do it. That's my mode. Version one is better than none.
I'm not making much money in life, but I'm doing what I want. Living in the woods. Nature and fixing Porsche's. I'm happy.
Forgot my tow hook. Won't do that again.
Left Ashland Oregon about 1pm got home at 2 am.
Its still in the truck a week later. I'm building a geodesic dome.
I was going to do it out of PVC Pipe but have changed me mind to do it out of EMT same cost so why not.

I don't see Julian, Ricky or Bubbles in those photos. I thought for sure they would have been anxious to be part of this adventure.

That's some scary looking **** there Wayne (those ramps).
I haven't done anything like that since back in my teenage days.
But hey, you got 'er done. That's what matters. Good for you.
So whatever happened to your acquisition 'Number Two'..?

Jaysus help whoever follows behind that panel truck, with a 3500 pound car likely not even strapped in. But hey, what could go wrong?
It makes you think of all of the **** you don't know when you are out and about.

I think it's fantastic that Wayne is out there actively working to make his dreams come true.
The cinder blocks with the tie downs to keep them stable under the wood ramps seemed like a potential disaster. Please think of a more stable method before the next one....even putting a tight fitting piece of wood through the holes in the cinder blocks (to keep them centered on each other) would help considerably!

I actually watched the whole 28 min video. That was epic!!
How ironic that you are talking about all the crazies you see at Walmarts, while you're videoing yourself walking around the store, talking to yourself, laying on bags of dog food and using their computers to charge your phone!! Plus, you won't let them check your receipt when the security sensor went off while you exited AND you got offended by it.
