Default Paint Shop?

Would somebody mind pointing me in the direction of a quality paint shop in the Vancouver area? Looking for just an exterior paint spray. Bumper needs paint, rest of body is undecided on which shade of grey it wants to be in various areas etc. Trying to fix previous owners mis-matched respray and have it back to its original colour again

Burrard Autostrasse is well reviewed but I've never used them.. I took my Subaru there for a bumper respray and they refused to work on it... not classy enough for them!

Got work from Cosmos for a major rear hit on the Subaru... pretty down-to-earth guys and the paint looks great. Typically have lots of Benz,BMW,etc. in their shop. Painter was an enthusiast so he appreciated the car. Had minor issues with interior plastics but nothing with paint. Would recommend them.

Hmm.. Might skip them then. Thanks for the tip, I'll make sure to check them out

Well known for Porsches and top notch is Korva, although they are typically very booked up. Another option is No 1 collision, although I've never used them but heard good things.

Good to know. Might be my best bet with getting the proper original color. Would rather wait for a quality job if they specialize in P-cars than rush into one somewhere else. Appreciate the tip!

Have had occasion to use Burrard a few times. They were recommended by MCL at the time. Work is very good as per their reputation. I will say that I noticed a few sloppy things after the fact though: overspray on the wheels, some missing trim stuff; so that was annoying. They do try to match paint so expect an extensive paint coverage beyond the area of damage. They are very busy, so I think that affects their time to worry about small details.

Korea - totally sub standard work for me, last time around.
it seemed like the 964 was an inconvenience. they only wanted to work on the high dollar Italian cars.
fender to cowl seal replacement: 8 loose inner front fender fasteners when i got home. hood slightly out of alignment. at least it was expensive .......

spelling error correction: Korva, ...... 7 years later. i don't get here often,
don't get to Korva often either. i did check 'em out last week. lack of alternatives.
great guys. - zero interest in a smallish respray - as in a hood. i even tried bribery. nada.
any newish alternatives out there?

Try Mainland Autobody in South Vancouver (Kent Avenue location.) They have a talented bodyman by the name of Kwok and he has his pick of painters with positive results.

If you are patient and willing to wait, New West Auto Metal in New Westminster has a talented and tenured painter by the name of Jacky and you have to request him specifically. He cleaned up my old 1978 Alfa Romeo Spider to its original glory in its factory silver many moons ago and the job was flawless, and dare I say concours quality.

Korva picks and chooses their clientele and specifically big dollar jobs. They don't really cater to the Porsche community anymore.

i wonder if being a "Porsche Approved" bodyshop has any bearing whatsoever on an assurance of quality workmanship?
i note that the one shop i'm familiar with (on the list) is second rate. - i had some work done on my pickup truck - had to take it elsewhere to get it redone.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. You said pickup truck, so I can only assume it's a Ford and it went to New West Auto Metal because they get a lot of work from the dealership across from them haha I remember having to navigate through a bunch of Ford F150s, Escorts, Transits, and Mustangs.
I only know of Mainland Autobody because the owner lives down the street from my parents place. We take our cars to them and refer friends/family to them and they've been happy (mind you, none are Porsches.)
