Default Tire time again

Searching for tires in Calgary, thanks to Nine11 for the tip - Bob seems like a great guy and the prices are in line. If there are other recommendations though.....I'm still shopping.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Discounttiredirect.com, tend to be cheaper overall than tirerack..... And they ship tax and duty included in to Canada. Their flat rate for shipping, duty and taxes is $160 for 4 tires.

Don't forget about the types of machines the shop has. You don't need to have your rims all scratched or nicked by 'lesser' equipment.

I didn't even think about Bob and his gear...but regardless of where you go, you don't need to have machines being hard on your wheels.

The thing about costco is they have to "special order" some tires. They won't take phone orders. Or, so I have been told. You have to go there to order and then come back when they get them. WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT???? I found tire rack and costco to be pretty much close to each others prices. Tire rack will ship to the shop of your choice. Tire rack online order. Less headhurt!!!!!

Already sent in the order to you guys via the net this morning. Looking forward to seeing what this hype about the Sumitomo's is all about! And yes Damon, you got the reference notation!

I did a fair amount of reading - a lot of it on Rennlist - about these and the price break compared to some other tires (PS 2's were 4X as much) coupled with the strong Canadian buck just made it irresistable. One downside might be the lack of support for Sumitomo in Canada. They're just not that common.

a +1 for Tire Rack, the process was painless, clear and you shipped my tires today!!

And Urban Expressions treated me well. Brought the car in on time and they were ready for me. Work done in the promised time, and in the promised budget.

Thanks Johnny.

Glad you got the same experience I did. I've been going to Bob for 10 years now.
