48 Hours of The Glen
If you are planning on going, be aware that the track will be hobbled. The front straight will be one lane only due to repairs made to prepare for the IRL race. The repairs have resulted in several regions canceling their events, Potomac to name one. The repairs will be done June 16-17 but will be left to cure. There is more in the Racing and DE forum.
If you change your mind and want to attend the RSR event at Le Circuit the 17-18th, let me know and I'll try and fit you in even if registration is closed.
Here is the thread which explains the "one lane" straightand various cancellations at the Glen this month:

I wouldn't worry about the one lane on the front stretch. Rennsport has been running many time with a crippled LCMT and it just makes things more interesting.
There are a lot of passing zones at the Glen in all run groups and if you're not waiting to pass or being passed, then the impact is null. Also, consider that you'll be running on one of best track in NA. So, the track is more than 90% available and the fun will be 100% guaranteed

Glad to hear it was great. I was concerned when I saw groups canceling their events.

The RSR DE on Thurs/Friday was also great. We went short sleeves on Sunday. Nice!

Yes, we had a large Ottawa contingent and we all had a wonderful time. No short sleeves, but we'll get over it. Turn 1 was a non-issue - we will definitely return. Here's a lap in my car (pardon the wind noise)...
