Default Looking to organize some regular get togethers

Hey guys I took a leave of absence in an M3 for a few years, but just back back into a Porsche luckily 2008 carrera S New to the area (live in Wellington), and would love to organize some regular get togethers. I used to live in Southern California, and the PCCA was BIG out there we'd get together for breakfasts, weekend runs, wine country weekends, etc. My wife and I, and son (who fits nicely in the back vis-a-vis the Graco car seat) also thought this would be fun and a great way to meet some cool people in the S Fl area. Anything regularly scheduled that I should be aware of, or should I take it upon myself to organize some stuff. Thanks Guys. Scott

Scott,

Feel free to suggest a destination and date for a run. There are a lot of guys eager to take part in runs, so go nuts on ideas. You may end up arriving solo or have 30 other Porsches in the lot when you get there.

Since you're in Wellington, here's a suggestion that is geographically good for you - the Old Key Lime House in Lantana (a block west of A1A overlooking the Lantana Lagoon) - I'd be up for a lunch run there on a Saturday.

You're talking to the only two cool people in SoFLA...Porschedog and me (well, truthfully, I'm only borderline cool).

P.S. - When is the next South Beach Breakfast Club run? I've got a new horse in the stable that might be able to keep up...

Hey Scott,

Welcome to Florida! I'm in Wellington too, we've been living here for the past 4.5 years with my wife. I would love to go for a breakfast drive some day!
In fact, I just did a short drive yesterday and ended up taking some photos of the nice scenery here in Wellington:

Send me your contact info to my e-mail: juha.granqvist@almaco.cc
Let's go grab a coffee at starbucks by the Wellington green mall!

Hey Juha
I saw your car yesterday at Ikea parking lot as we were leaving.
You are a brave man for leaving it there.
Looks good though, I like the new decals.

Happy Holidays
Tom

Just asa jumpstart to keep the momentum of this thread going, here are 3 options. Let's choose one and then set a date for mid January, on a Saturday.
It'll be just whoever feels like showing up - not anythoing organized like PCA but instead a GDI event. Think back to college for what that means...

1) Hooters (Seminole Hard Rock Casino, Pembroke Pines, or Pompano Beach)

2) Old Key Lime House in Lantana (just west of A1A)

3) The BBQ place in Okeechobee (just down the road from "downtown" Clewiston, or the restaurant at Roland Martin's "resort" (and I use that term loosely)
