Default Favorite South Florida Roads

Just like the title says, what are some of the best runs in South Florida (or other parts of FL for that matter)?

Card Sound Road heading down in the Keys is always nice...the problem is that all of our roads are flat and mainly straight...

Although there are some nice corners in Homestead...

I don't recall the road's name, but I used to enjoy making the run from Gainesville to the beach way back when I was at UF and had a 260Z and a gf that enjoyed long, fast drives. I shoulda kept that car.

There is a road in Tampa named Patterson rd. It is full of twistys but now is gett a little crowded with new homes. The town of Sebring has a great road that is 3.7 miles long, 17 turns and no cops.
Also St Rte 40 from I-75 east to Daytona is really nice. There are some slightly twisting roads and hills in Brooksville.

Patterson is a great road, if your talking about the one near the shooting club thats off Race Track Road. Funnest time I had on that road was a Sunday morning when a friend let me borrow his 996TT for about a week.

I was down at Ocean Reef this past weekend, and I have to say I LOoooove Card Sound Road! -- the road to US1 is also very cool, especially after dark, with its little hill-lets (they're A-cup hills) and no other traffic and your high beams reaching waaaaaay out there. Much fun indeed.

There is a twisty road south of Miami in an unpopulated area which I've only seen from a plane. Can't find it on a map though... Ideas?

Type in "Miami" and click on "Hybrid". Zoom in/out as necessary.

I find the everglades scenery very interesting....gators,osprey,armadillos and of course buzzards! Not to mention the stray Miccosukke on his war horse in full war paint. In southern florida you have to look for the small things since twisty and hills are not words we normally use.

As you lope across Alligator Alley, just before you get to Naples, you can opt to take the road to Chokoloskee. A friend reports that it is arrow-straight for 34 miles or so. He says that he has wound his 996 up to 155mph on this road. If he hits an aarmadillo, it'll be the last thing that he ever sees.
