I am to busy watching the German GP to really care, just don't delete the OT section.

I've gotten so fed up with the left side bar taking up screen real estate, that I used the .com/rennforums URL on every computer I browse with. Other than that, I like the forum the way it is. That bar is a cool idea, but maybe we could do a beta for a day or two to see how it works?

Never use the sidebar
Just go in directly...https://rennlist.com/forums/index.php
Is not broken - why screw with it

I link in directly to the boards, don't have the side bar option because I freaking hated it.

Only advantage I see to moving to the top is more width for forum itself. But I agree with others that drop-downs can be a PITA.
Any thoughts on adding a Future Models or similar option?

I have the Rennlist forums I regularly visit (997, Cayenne, 356, OT) individually bookmarked.
Sidebar menus are real estate hogs. I don't visit that page, ever.

Auto drop down menu's are very annoying.
You can open up any forum "full screen" if you want to.

Top navigation menus that once selected are given there own panel. Simple, efficient, customizable. KEY WORD, SIMPLE. If not then my vote goes for keeping the left hand navigation bar, with a few tweaks of course.

I'm not one for change, but I'd like to see more screen without having to slide it back and forth due to the menu on the left.
Now, maybe we can people to stop posting huge pics. I think at Pelican they are automatically resized.++

I'm with the majority in that I bookmark to my 993 Turbo forum. So it makes no difference, as your poll is coming out at 50/50 it seems it's whatever gets the site running best/fast. Thanks.

Vertical or horizontal doesn't make a huge difference to me, although I prefer to have the extra screen real estate that horizontal allows. But since you're looking for a reason to change the menus, can I suggest that you add labels to the individual menu entries indicating year ranges? It seems like every other day someone new stumbles onto the '911' forum and asks a question about a 200X Carrera because they think everything's a 911

I don't even use the menus at all, just go directly to the forums listing, much faster and no javascript menus to worry about.

If you add the top menu you'll just clutter the screen and slow things down. Say NO to menus!
