Any dyno around here?
I want to dyno my car in the spring time after I install my guru stage 2 map kit. Is there any around here in the Toronto area?

I recall that Lenny at Automega in Toronto was planning on installing one but that was about 4 yrs ago and I haven't been back there. Ph#414-201-0102. If he doesn't have one he'll know who does

ADP Motorsport is frequent by alot of Subaru guys. From your handle you look to be a rally enthusiast, do you own a subaru as well Rally Guy?
btw, there's lots of places that have 2 wheel dynos. mind you not all dynos are the same....

Agreed, let's say Saturday May 1. Anyone who might be interested, post here. I'll follow up next April.
I'll probably ask for a deposit to reserve a spot, depending on what numbers the tuner needs to give us a deal. The deposit would be non-refundable, unless there happens to be a waiting list or we already have the minimum number.
I've heard of one guy with a mobile unit that charges $100, maybe we could get a deal with him. Apparently the PCA UCR chapter has used him, so I will follow up next year when we have a better idea of numbers and where most people are located.
So, in the meantime, just leave a post here.

Be very carful when using Mobile Dyno facilities, the large number of road miles, bumps, and bangs..can do a Dyno in in no time. These units have very sensitive brake-out boards, that are extremely sensitive to vibrations, and banging. As well im curious as to the insurace issue, i recently had to sell, my in ground DynoJet because of insurance rates, 1000% increase.
Better to stick with a well maintained facility like :
D.L. Motorsports, who has a properly calibrated chassis dyno, with proportunate brake for load tuning, and a 5-gas analyzer, to see A/F ratios.
These mobile guys, do they just provide a service, or are they acredited tuners, with mobile facilities.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
I know Mantis took their's out to put in an emissions dyno, maybe the insurance factor helped their decision.
I don't even know the name of the mobile guy yet, but we'll have lots of time to find out what's available by April.

Wow, an old retrofited water dyno...didn't it used to be a Emisions dyno...with an upgraded water line. Do they have insurance?..in case car go BOOM! I personally wouldn't put my Porsche on that old rickety thing.....
