Hopefully not anyone we know, and hopefully there will ultimately be no fatalities.

Drove past the scene yesterday. There is a pronounced deep dip in the road which would unsettle a car travelling at speed. You can see the skid marks leading from the dip to where the vehicle struck the building. As the police stated "speed was a factor".

Apparently he was driving quite fast and Queens Quay is a horrible road to drive at any rate of speed on. I hate driving on it even at less than the limit.
I live just up from where this happened and the car looked to be a black turbo, so i had about a million texts and emails Sunday morning when i woke up with people thinking it was my fiancee and i.
who ever it is I hope they are ok, the roll bars have come out so it was a bad smack, apparently the female is in critical condition.

This kind of reminds me of that guy who was fighting a speeding charge because he was driving a high performance Porsche and he is a better driver then the average ..
I guess the road was the great equalizer and punished the speeder.
From the story sounds like they are going to be okay . I don't know anyone with a red stripe down the hood like that. Never seen it at our group get togethers.

This reminds me the 21 years old Chinese visa student lost control under similar circumstances in Scarborough about 3 years ago of the 997 Turbo he acquired only a few days prior, car went airborne, smashed through a few sets of fences before hitting the passenger side on a tree, ejecting the passenger who was alive briefly but passed on before emergency crew arrived on scene.

aviography I remember this, then he fled back to China to evade charges. little *****!
the red stripe on this 997 turbo looks to be the original color, if you look closely at the car the orginal color under is a burgundy or redish color and may have been painted or wrapped.
My fiancee said she saw this car earlier saturday afternoon driving like an *** on front street while she was at St. Lawrence mkt. ive not seen it around before, so maybe its a new owner, who like the Chinese kid thought he was more of a driver than the car can handle.

Queens Quay from Bay onwards east bound has been a disaster for years, hope the driver sues the city if he can prove the road conditions were a factor in the loss of control.
But then again...could be trying to impress the passenger, news report states that he was driving like a maniac.
