This was a pre ordered hit. Chances are the car is gone for good.

Unfortunately I have to agree, which is a shame as it was a very nice 944...
Luckily his 911 and 914 are at different locations....

Watch for parts popping up for sale.

Wonder what would make a thief pick a 944..it's not often I hear about them being the target

now he can upgrade to an 85 and half or newer send generation and lose that ugly dash.
sorry to hear of the loss.
If car is not recovered and needs help with negotiating with insurance have him give me a ring.

That sucks Rob. Looked like a clean example. I'll keep an eye out for it in my neck of the woods. Hopefully he gets a fair deal from the insurance.

Hey Danny,
I kinda liked the ugly dash after a while! lol...I think either he or I will be in contact with you, think the car is probably undervalued...

Thanks Jean-Marc,
He was just over checking progress on his 914, and we were talking about how much we both liked that 944...

Thanks guys!

In 911 land north of the border its hard to believe but south of the border there is some demand. I visited an old Pelican 944 Forum buddy in Charlotte and he was saying the there is a demand for pristine early 944s (yes the one with the ugly dash). The Fuchs on the '84 that was stolen would have been icing on the cake. The VIN plate is so easy to swap, chances the car is sitting some where fully in tact.

.... here is another interesting tid bit with 944s, at Hershey in previous years there are usually a ton of 944s for sale and by the end of the day they all go home with the original owners. This year there was a noticeable lack of 944s in the For Sale Area. I was told that a low mile 944NA sold early in the day and at the end of the day I watch as a buyer who said he owned a Body Shop purchased an '86 944NA with 60K miles for $4k, he was intending on repainting/reconditioning it to sell it for $10k. I though he was off his rocker but maybe he knows something I don't.

Just saying.

Always freaks me out when take out of a garage.
Buddy's Porsche and 4 runner were stolen a few years ago.
Got in through the kitchen window, took his leather jacket, wallet, both cars.
Everyone was at home, asleep, upstairs. It's only stuff.
Bad guys...If you need my cars, keys are on the hook.
Don't trip on any LEGO.
