Default Wax Buffer/Polisher

I used to wax and buff/polish by hand.
So now I have 3 cars to wash / wax and clean these next couple of weekends.
Of course the only one I really care about is the 911.
Theres alot of buffers / polishers out there that'll hopefully reduce my muscle fatigue come Sunday night.

Do I really need to spend $250 to $300 for a decent polisher?

What are you using? Recommendations? Price?
Thanks

I have the Porter cable random orbital, and have used it twice on my boxster. It works well.

I started with a Simoniz orbital and found a PC at a great price - huge difference IMO.
Save your money and buy the better one! (i.e., buy cheap, you will end up with a "proper" one anyway!).

Porter Cable is the way to go. I ordered mine from eshine.ca a bunch of years ago with all the necessary pads. Makes quick work of detailing 4 cars.

I have the Flex 3401 which I think is a little more powerful than the PC. And also agree to spend on a quality unit as you will get much more productivity out of it. Have had mine for 5 years and many polishes. Does a great job

I use the Lake Country pads and Menzerna polishes. You r also welcome to try it out

I have a Porter cable 7424. I have had it since 2007. Yeah, a Flex saves time but it's like 3 times the price. You can get it done with a Porter.

Yes the porter cable is the way to go, Phil recommended this to me with the basic essentials to get started. Also bought it all from eshine.ca

Was pretty easy for me a novice to do my cars and no worry about screwing up the paint.

Check Canadian Tire for the PorterCable, They go on sale from time to time. For pads, waxes etc Larry at Wisdom detail is great to deal with, and local.

I recommend Larry as well. I bought a ton of stuff from him to bring back my single stage paint. To this day he still answers my stupid questions by email.
