Congrats Chris!

I like the black on burgundy, but if you have made up your mind about replacing the interior, may I suggest just getting a second set of everything in tan and storing this original interior. If prices for the 80s cars keep going up like the 60s and 70s, someone will pay much more later if you have original interior. After all, redoing the seats and interior panels might cost as much as finding a beige set that someone does not need. Unless of course this interior is in rough shape and needs to be redone now anyway.

That's a really good point Stan. The cost of the new interior will far outweigh the sale value of the old, even though it's in very good condition, simply because of the fact that burgundy isn't worth much. It might not be a bad idea to just stick it on a shelf, considering it's only worth maybe $500. It might add much more value than that to return to stock, if/when I sell it down the road.

Wise move, as these things go in and out of fashion.....there will always be SOMEONE looking for something like this at some point especially as prices escalate, and all it takes is one....
Maybe today--someone looking for a Xmas present!

Happy holiday to all!

pretty much indestructible.

You would think so, wouldn't you? Except that at 38k miles, cylinder #6 was dead.

Not driven enough! A big problem with many cars.
I have owned a number of these cars, and the only
one that gave me engine trouble was also a 30k mile car.
But once fixed and driven regularly they are usually very durable.

I think histories are nice. But once you get a top end done it somewhat resets everything. Everyone is looking for that anyway.

Well, this one certainly won't suffer the fate of sitting too much. It'll see plenty more driving in the next chapter of its life.

I got an update last week, the engine work is scheduled for this week. With any luck it'll be done by the end of the week and ready for pickup, though my week after that is crazy so it'll likely be towards the end of the month that I get it here.
