Passing along info:

Drivers,

Thanks to all the drivers that have confirmed their participation for our Remembrance Day Drive on November 11th at Mosport's Grand Prix track. We need a few more drivers so please let your friends know. Particularly, the slow ones. Current forecast is partly sunny with a high of 12C.

Details:
2 groups (lots of track time), half hour sessions, Advanced & Intermediate (novice with our approval with a coach running in Intermediate)
Registration 8:30-9 am; drivers’ meeting 9:10 am; start at 9:30 am
Lunch provided from 12:30-1 pm (shortened lunch to maximize best driving hours)
End at 4:30 pm
10 Marshals
Tow Truck
$450 plus HST if paid by you and received by us not later than noon on Monday, November 9th
Once paid, you are committed if we, in our discretion, decide to run the day (we will run if the weather forecast looks reasonable as of Monday, November 9th)
If we, in our discretion, determine not to run, we’ll apply your payment to another DriveTeq event or refund it at your request
We need 2 things to make the day happen:
1. sufficient interest (with payment in advance) - NEED A FEW MORE GOOD DRIVERS
2. the reasonable prospect of dry weather - GOT IT

Price will be $600 plus HST after noon on November 9th.

Please advise if you’d like to book a full or half day private coach.

I can assure you that Mosport is hallowed ground and will be silent at the 11th hour for the appropriate duration.

With respect,

Mosport is a great place to be on your birthday.
Last was 5 years ago in my 996TT, currently Jumpers car.
Still kicking A$$.

I arranged a drag race on the back straight between a ZR 1 and 997 Turbo S....

Amazing how much the equipment computer hardware and software have changed over the years. My incar was shot with a hi def Sony camera on tape, with suction cup rig. Importing the footage on a firewire connection...That took a lot time, then encoding the footage.... Those were def not the good old days.

John was sick, but is now better and apparently organizing or marshalling other track days.

Bad back forced him to get a more comfortable car and take a break from what I heard. Great to see him in his glory.

Tech may have been slow but that didn't stop you from creating some great pieces!

I'm the 10th, you're the 11th and so is Zookie.

John's ailment was far more severe than a bad back....

Thanks for the kind words, Happy Birthday!
