The manual basically slows the car down below a 991 GTS PDK. They can only go only so far/fast....Have to wait for the next 991 hp bump. Additionally, if they offered both pdk and manual they would have to contend with gt3 owners. So excited to see this break through offering! Finally, the engineers got to make the car they wanted too!

There's some chatter in the 997 forum about some with PDK failures.
Non warranty transmission replacement costs upwards of $14,000 US as they're not field serviceable.
Ouch. I'll stick to a clutch

I suddenly got the urge to trade in the C4S for the GT4. I showed this car to my wife. Her response was: "Its beautiful. Dream on.", and she walked away.
Does that mean i got the "go ahead"?

Hmmm... Although we all know what she probably meant, I think this is one of those times when you have to "hear what you want to hear", and I don't think you heard "No"... so full speed ahead!

Sometimes we have to be bold. Someone once posted: "I have spent many a night on the couch, but at least I have the car collection to show for it!"

I love this car. So many cars I want, so little room in the stable, and most importantly, so little money in the bank account! [sigh]

I wonder how much of a hit I would take on my 2014 Cayman S it has 1800 km on it?

Called Pfaff and said if they can get me a PTS Riviera Blue, I will come down with cash in hand now. John said he will inquire, but from what I read on the forums, it not gonna happen.

This car is the first time I got excited about a Porsche (I can afford) since I ordered my car back in 09.

Why pose the question, my cars just show up in the garage.

LOL!

Looks like the configurator is up.

Its not too hard to add about 15k worth of options. As much as this is supposed to be more a stripper track toy, I feel its a HUGE let down when these special machines don't get optioned with the "exclusive" interior flourishes. Really liked what Ronan did with his green GT3 RS, incorporating green highlights to parts of the interior.

Nice! I feel the same, I just wonder if the Cayman will take those wilder PTS colours like the 911 does. Personally if I ever bought new the 2 blues (Riviera / Mexico) or Mint Grun is the way I'd go...

Yep, riviera blue looks good on the 981 platform.

I configured mine, mostly a stripper no AC and larger fuel tank but with PCM and sport chrono and black wheels in GT silver with bucket seats. 112k.

That's not bad really.

A stripper at 112k? Base price is 85k? Hmmmm.
I configured mine and it came to 89k. A/c but no stereo.
