Default Flu rolecall

Daughter is showing symptoms this morning, her BF got sick on Monday. He's feeling better already but the girl is quite ill. I'm scrubbing like mad with soap and wiping with Purell. I have a call to the Doc to see if an Anti-viral can help me from getting it and I had the flu shot early on so I'm hoping for the best.

What's your experience this season with the bug?

UPDATE: call back from the Doc. Won't consider anti-viral unless daughter is verified with swab. Says call back within 24 hrs of on-set and then maybe, says to keep scrubbing.

Father in law had the flu shot and caught the flu last week. Apparently the strain has mutated from what was predicted to be the prevailing strain.
One of these two has or had the flu, don't shake his hand.

hahahahaha
yup i got it ...
Doctor said they really missed the Mark this year and the flu shot is doing virtually nothing.

Also he said this year 70-80% of people reporting the flu in this region are male . Which he found unusual , said its usually the other way around.

BTW i really look old.. go doctor that pic ..

Good news is I recognized it early and good sanitation techniques have prevented Micheal or anyone else i come into contact with from getting it

I did spit in Bahama's sandwich tho so the jury is still out on him

CAUTION! GROSS MEDICAL ADVICE: Read about this years ago and found that keeping fingers out of my nose and eyes keeps me pretty much cold and flue free....touch wood! Swappin' spit doesn't seem to matter.

9 people at my father-in-laws birthday party on Saturday night are all down with flu-like symptoms.

JOY....I'm sure my wife and I are next!

I never get sick but caught this flu and missed 1.5 days of work (first missed work in 4-5 years), it took me almost 7 days to get completely over it that said I kept working out every day (other than the days I missed work) and it probably knocked me back a bit!!

How much time for the nasty suffering feverish period to subside?

UPDATE: I lernd there are two different flu's at the moment, one is gastro and is bad for a day or two, the other is respiratory and is worse and lasts longer. My son said he was a wreck for a week with that one.

I have not had the flue in well over 15 years. I heard this years strain is a wicked one though.

Like many above i very rarely get sick , havent missed a day of work in years... This one got me good. I missed 2 days of work but i really should not have gone back . Suffered badly for a week . The second week was really just dealing with the tiredness, dry cough , chest congestion as it was causing lack of sleep coughing all night.
Just getting to end of second week and although i have a few sore chest muscles from coughing anf the like. im over it already .. so yeah count on about 2 weeks total but one week of flu misery...

No shot, No flu.
But them I've been avoiding humanity so as not to catch anything.
Hope you feeling better Clive but if not, I hear there's an opening for Walking Dead extras.

Daughter went to bed last night feeling awful and woke this morning feeling much better. So I guess it is the executive version of the flu.
