Do you let your spouse drive your baby?
Its going to come up - sooner or later.
I am not sure what to do.
I want members experiences-you have already been down this road!

Yes, I even had to teach her how to drive manual. She doesn't like driving manual especially when there are other cars on the road and she chooses not to drive it.

no wife likes her Touareg
not interested in playing with my toys and doesn't drive standard.
I have tried to get her to ride in the car at Mosport but doesn't like roller coasters.
she spends enough on her nails and hair and clothes and other ways to throw away money she doesn't need to drive the pcar.

maybe i should rephrase the question.
i don't mind if wifey drives it (once) but as long as she hates it (which she wont).
i dont want her to drive it - its my toy.
im tired of owning various power tools and bits-who cares anymore.
lets have some real fun.
the kitchen is hers, the appliances, the molding of the kids minds, my wine selection from the LCBO, she selected the color of the granite, whats for christmas dinner, ......you get the idea.
i need coaching.
So, the question should be what type of phrasing/comments (anything) should i use that is diplomatic and LOVING!!!!!! I hate myself at this point- only for a second.
I dont want a family law attorney thinking he's my best and newest friend.

Well, you could try dropping negative hints- about how heavy the clutch is, how demanding the car is to drive, how conspicuous you feel with people staring at your car, how you worry about getting in an accident or being vandalized, etc.
Hard to say. My wife simply has zero interest in my Porsche, although she did encourage me to buy it.

My wife drives standard and drives my car (rarely, as she knows I LOVE driving). She works from home, so she has the SUV to pick up kids, groceries, etc.
What does your wife do? (insert bad joke here)
If she is running errands all day etc - point out more likely to get dinged at malls - therefore, minimize those trips or park far away (hopefully a deterrent for her to want to take the car out for errands).
Heavy clutch is a good point and stop and go traffic can suck.
His and hers P cars is the way to go though IMO!!! (I'll be looking for a manual Cayenne for her next year).
