Default Has your wife ever.....

driven your Porsche? Lets be honest here fella's. The wife went out for ice cream today and wanted to take the car. I was hesitant and the answer I got from her was "I pay for that car too!" I had to do it. I watched it pull away and I nervously wait for it's arrival.

That's why I'll never buy a PDK car. She can't drive a manual. You should have follwed her to make sure she did not; park between 2 cars, bump a curb, drive over a man-hole cover, or go through a puddle. Stuff like that.

Sometimes you just need to say NO and let the chips fall.

My wife will drive nothing but manual transmission cars! She's welcome to drive the 993 anytime she wants however she is scared she's going to wreck something so she rarely does. Shes probably driven it a half a dozen times however is hesitant to drive it without me beside her!

I always ask if she wants to try my toys but she has always declined. I'm happy to let her take them out if she wants though.

No wife and no gf... But it would depend on the person. My ex was a terrible driver and I would never have let her behind the wheel of my Porsche (had I had it back then).... On the other hand my younger sister is more mechanically inclined and I would gladly teach her to drive it.

Letting them take it on their own..... That's another story. Not happening.

I've inadvertently made my wife feel very nervous about driving them, plus when she does ask I always manage to find a reason to say no.

Never.....

She doesn't want the responsibility if something happens. It wouldn't bother me if she did drive it.

My wife, oh wait, I don't have a wife, but rahter Mark's (RL member Murphey's Law) wife did, she couldn't help to sit in it, then asked me if she could start it, so I gave her the key, then she asked if she could drive it, Mark was shaking his head while I nodded, so she happily drove the car around the block by herself, I was laughing while Mark nervously awaited her return with the car.

She does drive stick very well....I mean manual transmission. I don't think I have anything to worry about but she did call me asking how to get it in reverse For some reason she thought she had to push down. As far as I know it made it home safely. I'm taking it out now to make sure it's ok

Twice she has driven with me in the passenger seat... And both times I even let her pull into the narrow garage door opening... Had I not had a couple of drinks in me I probably would have been more nervous
