Perfect! Thanks. Do you have a garage door opener on that door? I plan on putting a similar hoist next year.

Get a Liftmaster 8500C jackshaft opener. It's off to the side so you can get maximum clearance. Great product and super quiet.

I
I also took Will's route and installed a new Liftmaster side mount garage opener and the Direct Lift 4 post with the metal ramps. Love it so much that I'm getting another one for the other side of the garage

My ceiling is slightly at 12ft. 9ft ceiling would be really tight....perhaps fitting 2 ultra low Ferraris . My stock height Corrado and a lowered 911 is in the pic. The other lift will hold the R8 with the Red Corrado underneath without issue.
You have to take into account the lift platform and the garage door. GL!

Hey Anson...nice set-up I have the same lift and mine isn't bolted down. It leans a little to the center of the garage with a car up on top due to the slope that the builder put on the floor. Do you have this problem also? I'm looking at solutions as it makes me nervous despite the installer telling me that it is fine.

Mine is sitting on top of the Racedeck tiles. It does a lean bit towards the door (about 1.5" deflection from top to bottom ) but this is due to the natural slope of the garage floor for water drainage.
I'm not in the least worried about weight issues and the slope would have to be pretty severe before I even considered bolting it down.
If your lift is going to stay in one permanent spot, then it certainly wouldn't hurt to bolt it down but I move it into the centre of the garage now and then with the included castors which is awesome btw, so I can fart around with both doors wide open.
Also it makes seasonal tire changes on 4Runner easier as well.

A little garage **** of my own. The red car will be replaced with a GT3 in white in about 60 days. So yes, we will be a 4 Porsche family. Two three car garages, one housing my toys (Raptor, F430, Ducati 996SPS, 997.2 TTS), one housing the rest of the families (Boxster S, Cayennes S Hybrid, E550).
When we built the house I spent my time on the garages, they are fully insulated and finished out with dark grey ceramic tile and drains in the floor. I use Griot's Garage cabinets, wired for sound and TV so I can catch races as I tinker.
