Trip to Stuttgart, Any advice?
I'm leaving to Munich on Thursday night for a week besides the BMW Welt I want to visit Stuttgart as I feel I have to since it's only a few hours away.. Then might as well do Ingolstadt since that's only a few hours away.. See where I am going with this trip?

The museum is closed on Mondays. Eat in the bistro afterward. The food is very tasty. Leave at least 4 hours for the museum. Gift shop has some cool things, some of which are hard to get otherwise. Amazing museum!

Hopefully the cars they had out to Le Mans (for display) are back as I was there last week and quite a few were missing and then guess what - found them later on in the week at Le Mans. Summer is the busy season for cars on Porsche's road show where they display cars all over the world. Do not forget about the Mercedes Museum - you'll need twice as long as the Porsche museum. Don't forget your PCA membership car - free admission and 20% off in the gift shop.

I lived in Germany for 5 years and did all the petrol head pilgrimage trips but by far my favorite thing to do was just drive! I recommend you stray off the autobahns and drive the back roads.
The museum was really good but the best part was just sitting for hours in the cafe which has a glass wall looking into the exclusive Porsche historic restoration shop. The last time I was there Jerry Seinfelds 550 Carrera Panamericana was there along with super rare cars on 'racking' waiting to be serviced. The main dealership across the street is also cool -they had three pre-owned Carrera GT's on display.
Enjoy.

Some very good Swabian cooking, depending on where your hotel is, worth a stop for dinner.

Will try again in September when the travel season calms down...
Still managed to salvage the time off and went to Washington DC.. Not Munich but at least seats were open to DC. Can't complain though as I finally got to go here... YUL-YYZ-DCA-YUL
and found these in the parking lot
Then bought matching shoes for the daily driver
It all worked out good.
