Can you really have bad publicity ?? same at the GT3 situation, going over and above to make people happy, in the end Porsche is the hero and coming through for customers in distress.
It all depends which way you perceive the information.....but as you know people always remember the outcome..
This. People making a LOT of money spend their days figuring out the best way to exploit this. You can be damn sure they said you need to put out a video saying how great we really are. And he did.

Its my take from his videos. My opinion only
Everyone's on board against Porsche. The car didn't leave the factory with any problems. He stated that he drove the car for a few months without any indications or concerns....

Its the part in between where he states in his first video that Porsche added a few extras like......

Just sayin that he could have taken a perfectly good car for improved work and this could be his outcome, all of his problems.
He doesn't post all of the story, can't blame the guy he's gotta watch his legal side.

Good for him to get this issue resolved.

Huh??

He took it to a Porsche dealer to have some work done (radar detector etc i think) and even if that was the cause of the problem why would that change the outcome that should have happened ages ago?

And I expect lots of cars leave the factory with problems and it just takes a while till they manifest themselves (ie maybe after the break-in period when guys start to push their cars?)

Your implication re there's more to this story, is that its his fault?

he states that he thinks it has to do with the weather stripping getting water into the electronics and Porsche said they do not blame the dealership (where the extras were installed).
I realize that problems can arise in production but it is how the company deals with it that appears to be the issue here. It appears they could have handled it much better. It also appears they did lose some customers and reputation.

its not that simple. There are a lot of variables that go into what each video can potentially make, if the person is even enrolled in the program. Which they have to do on their own. I suspect this user is enrolled though.

Its not like each video with 1 mil views has automatically netted that user $5k.
