Those three words
Jaak, it does happen, and it happened to me also. Went back two weeks after my initial surgery and was greeted with "we didn't quite get it all"......so they went back in and "got it all" and it's been all good for the last 22 years.
As always, thoughts and prayers--it sucks but I'm confident you'll beat it once and for all.

One of my dearest friend is fighting Leukemia, almost 4 months of non-stop chemo and radiation treatment, she's received a stem-cell transplant yesterday from her brother who's a perfect match.
I'm hopeful both her and yourself will reach full recovery.
An inspiring line from her:
"It will be alright at the end, if it's not alright, then it's not the end."

Folks ... many thanks. I does help.
Just have to wait till after Nov 3rd to find out if they got it all. The Surgeon I have is one of the best and I know he will get it all out. I don't have it in the Sinus area ... that's all clear!!! There is a gland just under the ear and he seems to think that is where it was missed before (from what I gathered when he discussed it with a few Interns) and it was microscopic. This time they will get it all as they are disappointed that it came back ... so am I.

Tomorrow is the operation and according to pre-admission it will be a lot easier than the last one. They told me that it will be a lot easier on me and I should be home in 3 to 4 days. That's not bad at all, sucks that I'm in again, but it needs to be cut out of me. It's clear where it was before which is a good sign.
Friends have been very supportive which has made it easier to handle. I have been kept busy this weekend so I have not had too much time to think about it. I do feel now that it will be finally removed from me and I can get back to enjoying my retirement! Hell, my friends are already setting up days as to when they are coming for a visit!!! Hopefully it's only 3 days ... but 4 is fine. Got many things done such as getting the lawnmower winterized and swapped it with the snow blower. I just need to add gas in December and start it up. I will be in better shape by then as my body is about 85% to 90%healed from the first round. Dentist says it takes a little over a year for the mouth to heal properly and then I get implant/dentures which should get me back into eating all sorts of foods. It is difficult to eat raw veggies, burgers on a bun etc. I can eat it if I can cut it up with a knife and fork and with fries, dip it in gravy. Looking forward to getting back home and one of the first things I'll do is take Thor out for a walk ... this gives me strength!!!
I'll post when I get out.
Thanks for the well wishes and may you and yours be healthy!!!
