Hoping someone can recommend someone or someplace between Toronto and Ottawa--Kingston area preferred--that could help me or, better yet, sort out my '82 928 electrical gremlins.
Sigh, after much grounds cleaning, CE board work, relay testing and swapping I finally got my car to start and run again but, now the horn, foglights and turn signals have quit. And so have I. Well, I'd like to take a rest and would be happy to pay someone to work this one out.
I can deliver the car, pick you up or meet you half-way-in-between.
Roger:
I assume your Porsche is a 928. Do you have drawings for your 928?
If the 928 is wired similar to the 911 then I think you have a ground problem on the turn and fog lights as they have the same ground point but different fusing /control circuits. On the 911, the horns are total separate from these above circuits and your problem could be many things.
Drawings would help troubleshout.

I don't know squat about electrics...but i do have an '82 and i'm nearby. We could switch stuff in and out...might not tell you what the problem is...but it would tell you what ISNT the problem if this is helpful at all, you'd be welcome to come have a go.

Cheers,
Adrian,
That's a fantastic offer and one that I would be happy to take you up on at some point especially after finding out that Foxboro is as close as it is.
I'm still green with envy after reading about the TO wrenching party last June. I should try to organize something like that around Kingston.
Are you sure you don't want to tackle this yourself? It will get expensive fast. There is plenty of info on the 928 forum.
When it comes to my Pcars I'm not too certain about very much--other than loving them.
And while visions of dollar bills dance like sugar plums in my head when I think about the meter running on such a job, I'm not sure that I would regret the expense. (He says with a grimace and crossed-fingers.) So, anyways, the request was sincere; however, if enough time passes I'll get back on the horse and hit the forums & google.
