Are there any amongst us the DON'T have a garmin/tom tom/magellan/etc? If I can figure out a way to create an importable data file and we can all load it into our portable system of choice, then we don't need maps, leaders, etc, just the nice lady on the dashboard saying turn right in 100 metres.

Great time, great cars, and weather wasn't bad either... Too bad fall only happens once a year!

Only downside in my eyes is one person (who shall remain unidentified) almost got into not 1 but 2 accidents by cutting off non P-cars at intersections. It's not a race...

I think we need radios scattered throughout the line next time

We really should try the Glympse app.
It really works well.

I dont see any reason really why just can't be all in one group.
Did a run in the summer with 83 cars as one group. A stop for pee, smoke whatever mid point for 30 minutes
and everyone regrouped.
The procession would be easier to spot and hear that's for sure as it would be a couple kilometers long.
It was quite a site at the monument with all the cars together.
I had Glympse installed but never tried to use it. Might be a good idea for next year.

Hey is there any reason this can't be done once in the spring or summer as well?
I know it's tradition and we all have busy lives but I'm sure we can spare one day on a weekend when the temps are above 25 degrees.

Sorry for the camera shake.
Steady cam for next year

Will,
We actually used to have a spring run as well back at the start of this. Another 'lister used to organize it and it was a great way to kick off the driving season...he's been awol for awhile, but if you're up to the challenge, I think many of us would be very appreciative!

+1

As for getting lost, I agree with above "it's half the fun". We went to get gas (poorly planned on my part) right at the start, and a couple phone calls to project where the group would be had us meeting up perfectly and re-joining.... and the gas stop was about 15 min drive from the actual route. Cudos to my navigators!

The "perfect" cruise would be a bit boring

Fab event, especially being my first. Thanks Christien for organizing it. Look forward to future runs.

I wasn't able to attend but I believe there is an app for gps tracking for a group drive. alternatively WAZE can track groups.
