Do you guys really want to be grouped my model/series? Personally, I'd rather be driving amongst 928s, Carreras, etc. I can see a longhood rear end any day of the week - I'd rather be behind something I don't see every day.
Besides, if all the boxsters and 996s get grouped together, it'll just look like the 401 through mid-town Toronto

I totally support the need for groups, very logical.
While not too stressed about it, it do like the notion of the air cooled cars together. Or even by age? I see millions of the new cars every day. They're awesome and gorgeous and mega fast, no doubt. But air cooled cars are rare and special to me and I love the notion of caravaning with similar vintages. Just a thought.
If we can request a group, I'd want to be with Justin and Jonathan and Cliff and Sultan, etc. Oops. Look at that. All air coooled cars. Sorry. ; )

I've been getting a few pms about the map - it'll be a google maps link. I'm trying to find a couple hours to pre-drive the route, to make sure no changes are needed. Nick (medent) has pre-driven some of it, and I did another stretch, but there's still a large chunk untested. If I don't get a chance to pre-drive it, I'll send the maps out Friday night.
Groups are divided now in the main list. It occurred to me that I don't necessarily know what everyone's driving, so I can't really group people by car, so let's do it this way: if you want to change, say so. It's no problem, so long as we stay around 20 cars per group. We're at 63 cars right now, though I'm sure at least 10 or 20 will be no-shows. I still need to figure out who's leading each group. But because changes will be made, make sure you double check what group you're in the morning of the drive!!!

Anyone else?
Can all participants promise to keep the car behind you in view so as not to splinter up the groups?
ie: if you lose sight of the car behind you, slow down or pull over til they catch up
As I'm in group 1, I may pull up ahead to shoot some photos & video of everyone passing by.
This should be epic!

Please, once we're moving, stay put. If you really want an action shot, I can move you to group 3, and you can shoot groups 1 and 2 leaving, then hop in your car to leave with group 3.
