Summer is flying by. The last two Grand Bend Raceway Thursday evening Track Events are August 29th and September 5th according to the GB Calendar. Pre-register on their Website for $50, a great deal. Time 5 pm to 9 pm.

I signed up for August 29th. I talked to another Cayman owner at Porsche of London this morning. He plans on going as well.

The Porsche of London Track Day at the Bend is Thursday September 12th, Pre-register at by contacting the dealership.

The Porsche of London Track Day is about $195 including Instructors and a really great lunch. I've been to 4 of their events and will continue to attend future events including September 12th. Well worth it.

Grand Bend is about 5 Minutes away. It has shopping on the main street as well as a great beach. Lots of places to eat. Watch the lapping or ride around with you at the track.

On a Time Attack Forum, the Bend got great reviews.

John, were you up at Grand Bend last Thursday in a Boxster?
There were a bunch of cars going out after the bike guys (us) got off the track, including a boxster, a 996 with some RS mods, and a Radical SR3.

No, that wasn't me. I've attended all the Porsche of London events as well as a couple of Saturdays and a Friday full days. August 29th will be my first Thursday Night run. I will most likely be going on Thursday September 5th as well. If I don't I'll regret it through the winter.

One last shot in August for some lapping at The Bend in a couple of days. If you live in this part of Ontario I'm sure you appreciate having a Circuit to unleash your Porsche without perhaps having to plan an overnight trip.

Many people think of Grand Bend for the Drag Strip that has been around for decades. They don't know about the Road Circuit, yet. Spread the word.

Perhaps next year we can get a group to meet in London, drive up, put in some laps then go out for supper in Grand Bend afterwards?

Tremendous turnout at The Bend tonight. Huge variety of Cars including some Track Cars, Vettes, Porsches, BMWs, Shelby, Camaro, Mustangs, Honda CRX and S2000, Subaru BRZ, Nissan 350, Cadillac Sports Car, Cadillac Wagon, Dodge Charger and more. About 32 or more vehicles. We ran on the shorter Modified Track. There were about 7 people from Chatham. Lots of people there including spouses and sons and daughters. This was the best turnout this year on a Thursday Night.

I was really pleased with the Mods that Porsche of London applied to my Cayman R. I ran about 100 Kilometers tonight on the Track.

Another Thursday Night Lapping night at the Bend, this Thursday September 5th. I'm signing up.

We ran on the longer Technical Track last night. The traction was a bit less with the cooler temperature. Phil ran his 964 and Steve returned with his 911. There were some Vettes, Mustangs, Subaru, Mini and a BMW as well. Lots of Fun within 50 minutes of London.

I just checked the Grand Bend Raceway September Schedule and I see they added another car lapping event on Thursday evening Sept 19th.
