Buying Fuel In The US
I always use Shell here in Canada. For those of you that travel to the USA with your Pcars, which chain of gas stations do you use there - specifically in the Niagara Falls / Buffalo area?
Thanks!

Hi Tommy,
Any of the name brand fuels should be fine, BP, Marathon, Exxon, etc., I always looked for the best maintained and high-traffic(or where other high-end cars are filling) stations to fill up at
USA seems to on average have better gas than we do, cars always seem happier
Cheers,

Whatever reward points system i'm buying into at the time is what goes into the tank. Especially in the US with their 10% ethanol even at Shell, dead dinosaurs are dead dinosaurs.

Far as I know, it don't make no ding dang difference where ya gets yer gas. 'Ceptin' 'course, Shady Pete's out on Rural Route 2.
I lived in Buffalo and worked in Niagara Falls... always went to the corner that had the cheapest gas.

^^^ pretty sure any of large oil analysis labs can run the required test as most test fuels as well take your pick Agat, Wearcheck, Fluidlife and Polaris are the bigger outfits that most likely have the proper equipment to do so.

check out the following website:

According to a couple of friends in the upstream side Shell 91 in Canada and Sunoco 93 in US have zero ethanol content.

Stay away from Starvin' Marvin in the south (noted that you are only looking in NY).
I did note that in January of 2012 when I took the 996 to Florida that my mileage with Shell gas was significantly better than BP and Mobil.

I think the wording on the Shell and other pumps is that the fuel "may contain up to 10% Ethanol". That's what they say out here in BC. My understanding is the 91 has 0%, then the next one down 5% and the lowest grade is the 10%. At least out here.
